Hi everyone, Julia and Pamela Chiesa here! We are native Hudson Valleyonians here to help you enjoy your time when visiting the area. We have traveled the world over and have set up a beautiful place for the world to now come to us. First we want to say "Thanks for your interest in staying at The Chiesa's!" Upon Julia's return to the USA in April 2015, after traveling the world for 10 years, our Family got together and reopened a Family Tradition of running a Bed & Breakfast to share the beautiful Hudson Valley and all that it has to offer while providing a very peaceful place to call home for other world travelers. We are a weekday and weekend Bed & Breakfast and are accepting requests anytime. Our B&B is run by long-term residents & members of the original hippies, Pamela and Terence Chiesa on Terence's family land. This land was purchased by Italian Food Connoisseur Giuseppe Chiesa to host visitors, and much like we are doing today, feed people great food, great wine, a peaceful place to sleep to share enjoyment of the surrounding beauty. The Retreat sleeps up to 2 people in each of two unique bedrooms. Each bedroom is decorated elegantly, one with a queen sized bed and one with a full sized bed, a closet and views to the wilderness. Each bedroom has a private bathroom outside the room. There are three sitting rooms, one with a TV (Netflix, prime, HBO, Gaia, Hulu, YouTube). A gallery upstairs looking out to theforest and back yard, and one by the wood burning stove. The home was built by Terry Chiesa who is also a master wood craftsman among other talents in the arts, and the space is of a modern, open, well lighted with natural light throughout design, with many spaces to read, and relax indoors and out. There is a deck with chairs and flowering trees and bushes, with pots of flowers in summer; a nice place to read, have coffee and to gaze at the stars at night. We often gather around the fire pit evenings to talk and study the night sky as the absence of street lights gives the stars a perfect stage to perform on a clear night. We have a BBQ set up as well as well. In winter the snowscape is quiet and dreamy, in autumn the forest is illuminated with color, in summer the gardens are adorned with flowers, and in spring the sounds of renewed life happening all around us can be heard and seen. In this open and well lighted space design, the outside is brought indoors, 360 degrees, so that the various windows frame a different view. If you are interested in escaping the hustle bustle of New York City, have the need to explore the area's famous rock climbing cliffs, hiking or biking or walking trails or climbing mountains or visiting wineries, picking apples, or just need to do something different away from home...
