The agriturismo le Selvole is the farm of the Marzoli family, in the southwest of Tuscany. It’s located close to the medieval villages Micciano and Libbiano and is surrounded by hills, vineyards and olive trees. The family rents four apartments, each with two bedrooms. The country house is surrounded by a garden with a playground for children and a large lawn with a swimming pool. The Tuscan beaches are reachable for a day at the seaside. The attention to detail and the warm air that you can breat entering the apartment, make the stay lovely!

We had a wonderful stay at Franca's place. It is a lovely farm in the tuscan hills surrounded by fields and nature and perfect both for families and groups of friends. The closest town with a supermarket is about 15-20mins away by car but it is also possible to buy things directly from Franca. Eventhough it is a remote area, places to visit like Volterra or the beach are less than an hour away by car. Communication was quick and very friendly and accomodating when we had any requests or concerns. The apartment and property were well-kept and had plenty of space with a big pool, grill, playground and several seating areas. There are two other units everything is shared with, but it was no issue at all. The wifi was sometimes really slow and the kitchen was nice for cooking but we missed a good kitchen knife. We recommend bringing salt, pepper and oil because there were no herbs and spices. Overall we were really happy with our stay and would love to come again!

Le logement est à 1h30 de Sienne et encore plus de Pise. Ce n'est malheureusement pas optimal pour visiter les grands lieux touristiques. Elisa est heureusement disponible pour les voyageurs. L'appartement est assez petit pour 5 personnes et plutôt basique. Les hôtes des appartements du haut ne peuvent malheureusement pas profiter de leurs terrasses (table 2 personnes, trop étroit,...) par contre il y a une table à disposition en bas mais trop éloignée pour y amener à manger.

Majoitus oli hyvä ja Francan kanssa sekä hänen veljentyttärensä Elisan kanssa oli helppoa ja sujuvaa kommunikoida. Uima-allas oli hyvä ja siisti ja vietimmekin koko perhe paljon aikaa sen äärellä. Elisa teki vielä äitinsä kanssa meille upean illallisen kohtuullists korvausta vastaan. Noin 15 minuutin päästä löytyy lähin ruokakauppa. Pisaan ajaa noin tunnin. Auto on ehdoton olla mukana. Suosittelemme kohdetta kaikille rentoutumista ja rauhaa rakastaville.

As a family of five, we enjoyed the spacious appartment at the agriturismo, the space for the kids to explore and play as well as the spacious swimming pool. Elisa was always available and helpful and cooked a tasty tuscany dinner.

The agriturismo is suitable for a quiet vacation, the location is panoramic, very peaceful and the acres and woods are a romantic scenario for a walk. The Marzoli’s are a nice and modest family, and the children of the guests like to help with the work on the farm. The two barbeques made of stone are used to have dinner in the long summer evenings. ‘La Mama’ of the Marzoli family is a great cook and you can ask her to prepare a typical Tuscan lunch or dinner.
The property is surrounded by 150 hectares of acres that belong to the family. On that ground they cultivate multiple types of grain. There’s an area of 4000 m2 reserved for olive oil production. Those are huge numbers and that makes a stay at le Selvole so special. First, these people are farmers. Renting the apartments is a secondary activity for them. You’re a real guest on the farm and the family is proud of their agricultural activities.
During a stay of a week it’s possible to explore different cities. The nearby Volterra and the coastline between Vada, Cecina and San Vincenzo is well reachable. You can combine a visit to Siena with San Gimignano, together this will take a whole day. A very long, but worthwhile trip, is het island of Elba, where Napoleon was banned.

But also proximity to the Tyrrhenian coast, with easy access to the beaches of Vada (40 km), Cecina (35 km), Bibbona (30 km) and San Vincenzo (60 km).
And yet uniqueness of the area with the proximity of Larderello and the natural geothermal manifestations: fumaroles and putizze, hot springs between jets of steam and bubbling pools of water, an iconic and unique natural environment.
Besides direct contact with nature and unspoiled landscapes to discover, given the proximity to the nature reserve of Monterufoli-Caselli (10 km) and other Protected Areas of Alta Val di Cecina.
