We really loved the location, which enabled us to walk to and from the F1 GP, when we chose to. And we are ate four really good restaurants within walking distance of the house. One particularly good steak house “The Railway Club Hotel”, which was recommended by our host. Many thanks Jill, Kind regards Gerry
Jillian was a wonderful host and was so accommodating in every possible way. She had thought of everything we could need. The home was so creative and warm, the outdoor area was so tranquil. The location was so perfect, the first day we walked to the city, a decent walk but doable. A brief walk to Bay street where there is a supermarket, cafes, gluten free vegan icecream (helpful for dietary needs) and great op shops. And the ocean was so close. Jill mentioned in the description the firm matresses, which might be worth double checking if this could be an issue for you.
Jillian’s cottage was the perfect place for our stay in Melbourne. The location was incredible and Jillian thought of everything you might need. The house truly felt like home and we greatly enjoyed the garden and beautiful decor. Our whole family enjoyed the stay, we couldn’t have asked for a better host.
Thanks Jill for letting us stay in your wonderful home, we absolutely loved the little garden area out the back :) So close to everything and Jill was super helpful and quick to reply if we needed anything. We had a great 10 days.
This was the second time I had stayed at Jill and Greg's place. The location is superb, being close to the tram and a short tram ride to the CBD. There are good walks, parks, the area is quiet and it is a short walk to cafes, shops and the sea. The cottage is full of character with books and artworks that we greatly enjoyed. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern. The three bedrooms suited our group of three friends. Jillian was great at communicating and everything went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend Jill and Greg's place as a base for exploring Melbourne and surrounds.
