This is a very unique and memorable stay! Even though it’s a shared space, we still felt like we had our own space. Also, we enjoyed how easy it was to get to Downtown Mobile without driving. Plus how beautiful the walk was getting there.
We were there for Mardi Gras and had an excellent time! Anything we asked for was promptly received. We are hoping to be back next year. The house itself is beautiful and has so much history. I love how it is kept original in its furnishings (clawfoot Tub, Parquet floors, furniture). Very safe area.

We really enjoyed the location. A safe neighborhood in the residential part of downtown within walking distance to dauphin st. Everything was as described. Clean and charming.
The Mardi Gras House is a great place to stay! It is super pretty as in the pictures, within walking distance to Dauphin St and everything you could need. The room is perfect and comfortable and the house is uniquely designed. Karen and Tyra are awesome hosts - so kind and caring, that must be the famous Southern hospitality. We felt at home. It was really an exceptional stay, we recommend it to everyone.

I restored a five-bedroom, 5.5 bathroom, large Victorian home in historic downtown Mobile, Alabama. Starting 2015 we ran this as a B&B but now post-COVID we primarily have long term guests but some short term stays especially during Mardi Gras. Starting 2022, from time to time I will rent out my private home in New Orleans when I'm away. I am a self made person with diverse interests and a thirst for travel. Australia, Canada, Europe, Mexico, Caribbean, Japan, Thailand, and New Zealand are some of the travel destinations I have visited.
