David & Becky's place is cozy, comfortable, clean, and nestled in nature. They proactively provided information (including driving directions that are more specific than a GPS) and were quick to reply when we had questions. The linens and towels were nice quality and the kitchen had an abundance of cooking and serving utensils. This is a great place for a family getaway, a gathering of friends, or a solo retreat. We are glad we were able to experience Acorn Hill.
My friends & i had a wonderful time staying at Acorn Hill! The cabin was very clean & comfortable & had everything we needed for our trip & the fireplace was nice to have on the cool evenings we were there! The backyard is a nice area with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains & there's also a nice deck & outdoor firepit! There's lots to do in the area! Shenandoah National Park & Luray Caverns are just a short drive. There's also several wineries in the area & overall its a beautiful area! I would love to visit again!
David & Becky were wonderful hosts. They went out of their way, especially since we booked at 8pm the night we needed to get in. They made sure everything was in order for us and met us there. Very nice people!
Great place to get away from the busy city. Drove in from Jersey, easy drive and definitely good sight seeing and plenty of nature
Beautiful cabin with a responsive and caring host. Inside you'll enjoy a neat cabin living room with TV, games, and electric fire to be warmed up. Rooms include three beds with their own floor heaters, standing shower & bath, full kitchen, side bathroom, and a full tub so bring some bath bombs! Outside, there is a front/side deck and back deck with seating, leading to a fire pit with firewood available from the host at a great cost. Being in the Shenandoah valley, everywhere you look will be beautiful with dense forest, rolling hills, blue hazy mountains, and the property is just a short walk to the southern fork of the Shenandoah river. I highly recommend this property.

We are an outgoing, friendly couple who enjoy outdoor activities and fun on the river! We love hosting others and sharing the beauty of Luray and all that this area offers! Together we are business owners (Adventures Await) in addition to working as a general contractor (David) and flight attendant (Becky). We enjoy time with family, love being grandparents and although we do enjoy traveling, living near the beautiful Shenandoah River and among the beauty of the George Washington National forest makes every day feel like a vacation! Our motto... keep smiling and expect great things!! :)
