This was my first trip to Evia and I could not have asked for more welcoming or genuine hosts. The accommodation is very different, a bit rough around the edges, but comfortable and spacious with beautiful views from the balcony. The outside space is lovely with a cool “plunge type” pool and seating, with the addition of good company. The walk into town is only a few minutes, with plenty of food shops and restaurants to choose from. The beach is even closer and is long enough to have your own space. It is well worth waiting around to watch the sun set! I would recommend a car (booked in advance) to explore the island as the mountains, gorge and beaches should not be missed. Dimitris, Sofia and Anastasia could not have done more to make my stay one that I will always remember. I travel alone and it was lovely to be invited to visit places and enjoy the local cuisine. Thank you!
We enjoyed our time in Marmari very much. There is a lot to discover here and the view from the apartment is sensational. Sofia and Dimitris have been wonderful hosts. we had a great time at Dimitri's and Sofia's place.It is simple but clean and quit. and it meets the price completely. i have never encountered such dedicated hosts. They picked us up from the ferry ,made us feel welcome,gave good tips,and were always helpfull with any question or request we had. The appartment was clean and has a breathtaking view over the sea. we rented a car to see more of south Evia and found some beautifull quit beaches. We had great food and the prices are ridiculiously cheap. And we only met Greeks.There are hardly no foreign tourist in Evia ,which we loved. After our stay in Evia we had three nights at Dimitri's and Sofia's house in Athenes. it was a very nice closure of our hollidays. we love to spent time with them and talking and learning about the greek way of life in every aspect. thank you so much and if you ever come to Amsterdam we love to see you!
We had a great time at dimitri and sofia. Very nice and sweet persons. Trying to make you happy,answers at all your questions. We had nice evenings together. The kids loves the swimmingpool. If you like a quit place away from the tourists and with the locals than is Marmari the best! The beach nearby: kokkini is very nice. For eating:the butcher. A rentalcar is nice for the time of a few days to discover the island. Dimitri will bring you to the shop/village/beach if its difficult,that s very kind. There are also bikes.Dimitri and sofia thank you for the wonderful time and hope to see you in Holland!
Have a nice walk to Marmari for shopping and lunching/dining, have a spectacular ride to the other side of the island for the gorge and spend some time at O Platanos, nice restaurant in a small village with a beautiful vue at the sea.

I have lived ten years in Paris, studied architecture, design, enviroment development in Ecole des Beaux Art, Ecole Speciale, Master Paris I Sorbonne and DEA Paris I Sorbonne. I have worked for one year in Stockholm to the fifth biggest international group Scansca-White for the first three university hospital of Greece and then I came in Greece (Athens) and enstablished my personal office Horoerevna Rodanas Tehniki specialized in the creation of Malls industrial metallic factories and touristic complexes. My favourite activities concern everything about water sports such as water (mono)skiing, wakeboard, tubes, sailing, surfing(I have "inflatable rib" for ski and motorboat for having fun to complex of Petaly island (local islands). My wife Sofia speaks fluently English. I have also a twenty years old doughter and a sixteen years old son both fans of water sports.
