Basilia’s house was exact how it showed in pictures. We all had a beautiful time and she helped us arrange for a porter to carry all our luggage as we had lots cuz we had been on the run for 40 days and two families including 3 children. I have to pay 15euros per bag so be mindful as there are 140 steps to climb which seem like 500 when you have heaps of luggage. Else we all had an amazing time at amalfi and the views from the house were just perfect.. Would love to come back again😉
Superbe host, Basilia was nice, generous and super helpful! Her appartement is big and has amazing view. She even pick us up at the port to help with our luggage which was greatly appreciated! Thanks Basilia
Spectacular view. It’s a climb to get there, but that’s the Amalfi coast. We spent most of our time our time when in the apartment sitting on the deck enjoying the view and watching the activity in the harbor. We would definitely stay there again.
Basilia was great. She was very responsive, polite, and answered all questions. She took us to her place and showed us around. It made check in much easier. The place itself was nice. There are a lot of steps to get up to the place but it’s doable. The view is what makes this place. It was spectacular! Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine during sunset was the best part!
Just amazing! Yes, you will be going up and down many steps, but the reward is the wonderful view from the terrace. And being taken back in time by the authentic-ness of Basilia’s beautiful home. There is a lot of love here. And the town is absolutely stunning, full of history and charm. Stray a bit from the main square to seek out the lovely smaller trattorias for fantastic meals. We left Amalfi with our hearts (and bellies) full and satisfied. Magical.

Caro amico, io sono amalfitana dalla nascita e sono profondamente legata alla mia terra che amo in modo viscerale. Qui ho creato la mia famiglia ed ho svolto per circa 40 anni la mia professione. Mi sono lasciata intrigare dall'amore per questa mia città ed ho voluto che molti cittadini del mondo, passando anche per i miei appartamenti, potessero godere delle bellezze di Amalfi e non solo. Non solo: perchè Amalfi non è solo paesaggio mozzafiato con la sua costiera; è anche storia (è stata la prima repubblica marinara d'Italia e con i suoi traffici mercantili nel Mediterraneo ha fatto da collante tra il mondo arabo, quello bizantino e l'occidente); è anche arte con la miriade di Chiese che sono sul territorio; è anche testimonianza protoindustriale con le sue cartiere e le fabbriche i cui ruderi sono nella riserva naturale della valle della ferriera; è anche patrimonio naturalistico; é anche leader nella gastronomia. E mi fermo qui. Potrei scrivere una enciclopedia! Ecco perchè tutto questo patrimonio, mio caro amico, deve essere condiviso anche con te. Io ho solo un grosso handicap: parlo l'italiano (ovviamente), il napoletano!!!, un pò di francese scolastico ed un inglese da paura ( nel senso che io stessa mi spavento quando lo biascico). Ho molta voglia di comunicare e nonostante i miei sforzi per imparare meglio questa lingua, mi accorgo di non avere più le capacità di una ventenne. Per questo, se mi farai l'onore di essere mio ospite, dovrai accontentarti di come non mi esprimo in inglese, anche se farò ogni sforzo per farmi capire. Ti aspetto!!
