This place has great promise but some major problems made it completely unsuitable so that we had to find alternative lodgings. The main problem is the caretaker had heavily applied insecticide to interior just before we entered. There was no way we were going to spend time inside such a horrible smell and toxic environment. We came back two days later and it was tolerable. However, the AC did not work well and was also causing the circuit breaker to overload (low refrigerant can cause this). So it was essentially ineffective after a couple hours. Also, workers all day were trimming the lawn outside using an incredibly noisy weed wacker, and when they weren't doing that, were blaring a radio. The main reason were wanted to be there was for the promised peace and quiet. The lawn was already very short, I dont know why it needed to be trimmed right to the ground or why the work could not be postponed a couple days until we left. So for the 5 nights we paid we stayed only about 4-5 hours total. I hope the caretakers wash all the cooking equipment and surfaces because there is certainly insecticide residue on everything. One more thing: one of the bed pillows stank horribly of body odor (and I mean horribly), and the other less so. We did exchange one, but we were not confident it was clean either.
