This is a lovely room with your own private living room downstairs - full access to house and yard, foodie kitchen, Netflix, WiFi & all amenities. Perfect for sun, sand and ski fun. In-town, short drive to Blue Mountain Skiing, Wasaga Beach, Scandinave Spa, Hiking & Bike Trails, Golf, Restaurants & Craft Breweries and Shops. Great for solo travelers, business and school placement. This lovely room in my home is ideal for a corporate assignment, job placement, school assignment, weekend get-away or a seasonal ski rental! A very peaceful space; its tasteful and very comfortable. There is a living from downstairs for your use, and the kitchen is fully equipped for anything you may wish to cook with doors to the patio and backyard. Great for solo exploration, business and school placement. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION REGARDING THE SPACE before booking: Including the map at the bottom with usual local places As my guest you will have access to: - lovely 'vintage' bedroom (all linens and bedding) - fresh towels, housecoat (you will need your own slippers) - living room for your private use downstairs - TV - WiFi - full bath (shower & jet tub) incl. toiletries - spa goodies (bubble bath, Himalayan pink salt, Epsom salt etc) - kitchen fully equipped w/ gadgets - Gas cooker - you have to have used one before - espresso maker and milk heater / frother - assortment of organic teas and biscuits - washer and dryer ($10.00 fee and its done for you!) - steam cleaner for quick touch-ups - patio and deck - parking - printer - area maps ** NOT suitable for the elderly unless they are good with stairs ** NOT suitable for young children - the house is not child-proofed ** STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY IN PLACE even in WINTER when road conditions can be tricky - please add Collingwood to your weather and road app. Winter policy is no refunds because of weather conditions. ** It is your responsibility to inform me of any special needs, restrictions or requirements before booking PLEASE ... read the entire listing which I've made easy by using point form. - This is MY HOME and we share it. IF you're after a hotel or whole-home experience and that level of privacy, my home is not for you. - Ask all your questions before you book and let me know about any allergies, special needs etc. - For a $10.00 fee you can have your laundry done for you and have it ready upon your return from sightseeing and enjoying the outdoors - I can not change my location, please check the map at the bottom so you can see approximately where the house is located and if it suits your needs. - We take our outdoor shoes off at the door, and you will need slippers if you wear them. - No guests without checking with me first - My home and investment - I appreciate cleanliness and tidiness. While a cleaning fee has been paid its not for maid service, please tidy up after yourself in the kitchen and main bath, and before check-out. - I have antiques, and everything is real wood, so we need to use coasters. - Please make yourself at home, while respecting me and the space. - If you need anything or something is not right, please let me know while you are here so we can make the necessary changes. There is always a solution if we work together. Anything less than 5 stars is considered 'not good' by Airbnb, so resolving things is important. We don't like to give hydro any more than we need to, please turn off the lights after yourself.

I had a great stay at Andrea's, the place is lovely and the room so tastefully decorated. The bed was great comfort especially after a day at the ski resort. Andrea is a great host and will make sure you enjoy your stay. If you are looking for a nice place close to the Blue Mountain Village, I recommend Andrea's house!

This is a quiet, family neighbourhood, with a lot to do in the area if that's what you want as I've described. You can just relax and have a spa night and watch movies at home. In the summer there is a large yard, deck, patio furniture and BBQ. We are 5 minutes from fine restaurants and shopping in-town. Approximately a 10 minute drive to Blue Mountain and 15 - 20 from Wasaga Beach.

The pictures don't do her home justice, her place was very clean and well decorated She was very flexible about my check in time and also went out of her way to make me feel at home. In fact she offered me one of her larger suites instead of the one I had originally booked for convenience sakes. She had clean towels and homemade iced tea to boot. * Suitable for one people who wants their own space. Second bedroom and sitting room listed separately. You can have the choice of the bedroom or the family room to stay in. Which is very private and comfortable with a great living room area, large TV, DVD player, bed and dresser. Good spot for yoga and meditation!
The Collingwood Marina at the famous Terminal Building is a 5 minute drive. From there, there is a great walking / biking trail that follows the bay. Great for birding, photography and fishing along that route which links with the Rail Trail that goes to Meaford. You can also launch your canoe or kayak right here in town.

Collingwood has some amazing restaurants (check my Guidebook), Jazz in the summer and of course the world famous Elvis Festival. Summer is an amazing time in the area for events.
Sunset Point Beach is a 10 minute drive and a wonderful spot to catch one of our beautiful sunsets, eat from the best truck food around, bicycle and walk.
The Blue Mountain Village is just a 10 minute drive and a hub of activity year round. You can attend many free concerts, mountain biking, zip lining and Scenic Caves Adventures.
The thermal baths and message therapists at Scandinave Spa are also a few minutes away. There are also very good Yoga Studios, massage therapists and gyms in-town.
Explore the Georgian Triangle by car or bike. The Grey Highlands scenic routes with Vineyards/apple orchards, and water falls are great any time of year.
Craigleith Provincial Park and the gallery hub of Clarksburg. Rent or drop your canoe or kayak in Heathcote or along one of the access points on the Beaver River.
I think this would be a great place for a weekend get-away, if you're looking to stay for a while or want the comfort of being able to come and go over a longer period of time.
For people who come to Collingwood on business, are relocating and are in the in-between stage, or would prefer to live in a friendly home instead of buying or renting a small condo.
While there is on-site parking, public transportation is available just one block from the house. Buses run from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays; Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
There is also a Blue Mountain shuttle bus from downtown Collingwood to the resort for a $2 fare, it runs in the morning until 6pm. If you don't want to drive to the mountain I can find out exactly where you'd have to catch the shuttle.
There is also a Wasaga Beach link that is $2.00 each way.

I live in Collingwood, Ontario better known as Ontario's playground 2 hrs north of Toronto on Georgian Bay. I am an easy going person and enjoy interacting with people of all ages and backgrounds, and have had the pleasure of hosting people from around the world who found their way here on business, pleasure and competitive sporting events. Collingwood is where I belong with its wonderful and eclectic mix of galleries, artisans, great shopping, cafes and eateries. As a photographer I appreciate variety of beautiful trails that go one for miles for casual strolls, hiking and biking during the three seasons, and great winter hiking, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. In short, Collingwood is a great four seasons resort town minutes from Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach, hiking and biking trails and some of the best golf courses in Ontario. The fall drives are amazing and you'll find cyclists maneuvering hills through spring, summer and fall. Its a wonderful place to live and to visit that is rich in community and creative pursuits. I would love to share my love of of the Georgian Bay area with you on your next visit. My motto is to invite only those into your life that come with peace and harmony, and to be that person as well. I have traveled a fair bit in my life and have stayed in guest homes and B and B's. Its a great way to get an idea of the area and the people that make up the community. Collingwood and the Georgian Triangle is the perfect place to visit for fun in the sun at Wasaga Beach, cycling the Georgian Trails or the Beaver Valley and Grey Highlands. There are many summer activities in Collingwood like the Elvis Festival, Jazz at the Museum, Art Shows or the fun and concerts at Blue. Winter is special here with great skiing, snowshoeing and snowboarding at Blue Mountain. Minutes from Cranberry if you`re coming up for a wedding or event. The Collingwood Bay is home to a Yacht Club and Marina with public launches and is popular for power boating, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, wake boarding and even wind surfing when the winds are just right. If you want to take a day trip, you can launch your canoe or kayak on the Beaver River through three seasons or cycle through gorgeous side roads and landscape. Wasaga Beach, the worlds longest sandy beach on a inland freshwater lake is a 10 -15 minute drive with many of its own attractions and events. We have great events throughout the year to partake in and some very fine restaurants and eateries. Jazz at the Museum and much more. There is always something going a Blue for singles, couples and families. The Collingwood Elvis festival is not only the largest and most well attended in the world, but also one of the oldest. Last year we were proud to host Priscilla Presley and Christopher Amerouso, and several of Elvis' co-stars. From May to October enjoy fresh produce at the farmers market with many local artisans displaying their unique offerings. As a photographer, I couldn't imagine a better place to live. I am proud member of the BMFA Blue Mountain Foundations of the Arts. We have several art shows a year displaying exceptional local talent across many mediums. Its a great place to visit to get a sense of the spirit and soul of the community.
