The house was extremely beautiful, and historically interesting. It was extremely peaceful there, and despite being there for the night of Storm Ciaran, with the walls of the house so thick, we really didnt hear the storm. The heating was on and kept us toasty warm, it was a delightful stay. Frederique was very welcoming and helpful, and had kindly bought us some basic foods as the shops were all shut due to it being a National Holiday. We can highly recommend especially if you like historical buildings.

Frédérique & Gilles were just wonderful! My husband and i decided to go on a weekend away to get out of the city and enjoy nature and get some rest. This place was just what we needed! Beautiful surroundings to enjoy a long walk inside the property, there is big pool to enjoy on a hot day They welcomed us with delicious cidre and honey ( both made in their property), make sure to try it and buying some as a Souvenir to enjoy later. They sent us plenty of recommendations but we decided to stay in and do a Barbecue and enjoy the great weather. Gilles even brought us fresh picked cherries! We came in with our french bulldog and he also had an amazing time here. Frédérique and gilles have their own dog Ruffus that is is super playful and friendly. So feel free to come with your dogs as they will get to enjoy too. We stayed in the side of a manner that has everything we needed, very beautiful and makes you feel like you are in your own little castle. Highly recommend! 5 stars :)

We had the pleasure to stay 6 nights in the castle. Our bedroom was really specious and tastefull decorated. The bathroom is large, a great shower, a lovely bath we uses twice and everything was very clean and provided with towels. The kitchen was well equipped and even has a dishwasher. In front of our space was a nice little terrace where we eat our home made meals. Too bad we had too little time to use the BBQ! We had the pool all for ourselves and could even use toys and nice chairs. Also a piece of land felt like it was our own. It felt private although Frederique and her husband were close by. They are very friendly and provided us with plenty of tips for hiking, restaurant, city's to visit, going to a brocante and bric a brac. And last but not least we have to mention Rufus the dog, we became good friends with. A real sweety! Me and Rumi would really like to recommend ourselves as castle/dog sitters if you ever go on holiday and need good care takers. The place a true gem!
