Another great stay at Pietros place .As our previous visit we found the house well presented, very-clean and ready for our visit. I previously left a post two years ago about our first stay and not a lot has changed in our opinion. You find a well equipped kitchen, a spacious property that is now fitted with slide door mosquito nets which is a great addition . AC added to one other bedroom, one previous,and the pool area upgraded with a covered seating area where you can look out to sea or the hills opposite. My elderly in laws along with ourselves drove up and down the hill,mountain,not sure which! we had two cars . If you want to get away from it all , with a private pool yet 15 minute drive to the supermarket and beach beyond id recommend this place . A car , vehicle is essential for this home!! We also drove to Pizzo and had a day at Tropea about 1.45 in a car, easily accessed and well worth the visit for a day trip. Beaches in Amentea are sand covered and the sea is lovely with a gradient in the water that doesn’t drop off too sharply, in my opinion!. We used the public beach under umbrellas and occasionally went to one of the many restaurant, lidos for lunch. Parking is also easy on the roads opposite .We parked mainly in town as we were always late to the beach ,preferring poolside until midday , this meant that beach front parking had gone by the time we arrived.Even so a 5 minute stroll to the beach . So yes, if you like space, stunning views, a pool at hand and a quieter tranquil side to your holiday id recommend this home as there cant be many like it for location!

Très belle location isolée dans la montagne, très au calme. La vue est magnifique. Le propriétaire ( Pietro) est très sympathique, très disponible et très réactif. La piscine est superbe , très bien entretenue par le propriétaire.

Lovely property in the Calabrian hills. We found this property to have fulfilled our expectations and in parts exceeded them for our 7 night stay . The house is set a top a large hill or small mountain with panoramic vistas over the verdant valley below and out to the Amantea Coastline and beyond. The journey up the hill is a little challenging on first experience but once completed subsequent journeys are straightforward. The hosts are welcoming and provided a clean and very well presented property with good quality kitchen equipment and cupboard staples such as olive oil,salt, pepper, coffee,water etc .on arrival . The bedrooms are large all with balconies, one with AC. The bathrooms tidy,one of which presented a few issues on our stay however notes were left with the host to resolve. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was cleaned each day by the owner and we also relaxed pool side on the chairs and covered space. The house is surrounded by olive groves ,vin yards and local fauna including wild boars we met on the road one night , snakes ( on the road) and large swallow tailed butterflies. The house is isolated, however there are a couple of houses attached with other holiday makers , homeowners ,though the house is very private from these properties . We calculated approx 20 minutes to the supermarket Conad at the bottom of the hillside approx 8k maybe a bit less. We ate at the house and in Amentea mostly in the evening with “La Locanda de mare” being our favourite for the evening and the “sombrero” on the beach for lunch .We went to the local lidos or beach every other day . Day trips to Pizzo And Tropea are within a 1/30hr reach .Wi Fi was made available ,though we had to ask and the laundry facilities excellent. Overall a Great stay in a unique house and location with friendly welcoming hosts we would stay again !
