Large comfortable bed. Western style bathroom w/bathtub & shower. The room has AC, desk, closet & shelf. In a quiet apartment with a large living room/dining room & kitchen, washer, 100M internet, & large flat screen TV & 2 friendly cute kitties. We're in a quiet area on a small street while still being reasonably close to the downtown areas which are a quick taxi ride away. There is a nice view of a park and a small mountain (more of a hill) out the window. The room is comfortable with an air conditioner, a large bed, desk, and a little closet. It's a nicely decorated, comfortable and useful space. I have a couple of guide books for Taiwan that you're welcome to use, please just remember to return them and I can help you get a transit card if you need. We know where and how to get most things you might need, just ask and we'll help you find metro cards, sim cards for your phone or whatever else you're looking for in town. The living room has a very comfortable folding couch for extra guests, and of course we have additional bedding. We also have a single sized air mattress. It's not perfect but will do in a pinch. (I've added this information since I was travelling and had a trouble finding a place for 3 people.)

This was such a nice place to come 'home' to after my long journey to Taipei, I felt so welcome! Magda was so friendly, communicative, and helped me find my way the first week here. I'm so glad I chose your airbnb to stay in. It was close to the shops and to the metrostation, the bed was very comfortable, and all the basic necessities were already there. Also, I loved the cats. Thank you Magda, I hope to see you around Taipei some time again! :)
Very nice and patient. When I arrived at her apartment, she was so friendly and be very patiently introducing some good places for traveling. And the room is very clean and I love that two cats, they are so cute. Thx Megda
Magda was very friendly and welcoming, the apartment had lots to offer and was an ideal space to stay in. It was lovely having so many extras such as access to fridge space, maps & guide books to borrow. Magda was especially helpful when I couldn't get out any cash, which was really going the extra mile. And helping me order a delicious breakfast too from a local restaurant with no English menu!
Magda's house was incredibly clean and welcoming. I needed to stay a night in Taipei and it was ideal for my needs. She was very friendly and her cats were sweet. There is also a gorgeous kitchen that is stocked with everything you could need! Nice bed, good location, good people. I would be happy to stay here again!'

Super safe area, the last crime I've heard of was someone had a pair of shoes stolen from the hallway about 7 years ago. Lots of little shops and local eateries, a super market and two convenience stores. Near the mrt, tons of food, a hospital and some shopping.
The Brown line of the mrt is about a 10 minute walk (15 if you saunter) from the house. Buses to the Gongguan area are about 5 minutes away, and there is a ubike station about 10 minutes walk (2-3 bus stops) away.
I really recommend downloading the app : "Bus Tracker Taipei" It's free and SUPER useful

I'm Canadian, from a small town in the North :) But I've lived abroad for most of my adult life, mostly in Asia but also in Brazil and France. I'm pretty easy going and like to meet new people. I'm a little shy when speaking other languages (not English of course), but overall very outgoing. English is my first language (and my profession, I teach English) and while I have technically studied many languages I can only claim a passable proficiency in two, Mandarin Chinese and French, and let's be honest my French isn't very good :P and I can't read or write Chinese. I've been hosting for a little while now and so far it's been really great! I've met some really amazing and interesting people. I've also done some traveling this year using airbnb which has given me some great insight for hosting!
