Colico is nice and not too touristy. Place is on two floors the lower floor or the basement is a bit damp and cold, but it’s still a nice space; the second floor is nice with mountain views. House is on a steep hill, 20 min walk up. Maria is a nice and kind host. She is very accommodating and responsive. Internet is not super fast but works good enough. Nice place for long stays as well. Definitely recommend

Maria’s appartment in Colico is simply perfect. The place is modern, comfortable and very clean. The small (but private) garden - especially if staying with kids - is a big plus and the (shared, but when we were there almost exclusively for us) swimming pool is very nice on hot days. Colico is a perfect spot to discover the Como-lake and the villages around it. Colico itself isn’t the biggest village, but it’s very charming and peaceful and ideally for a boat tour on the lake or relaxing on one of the beaches. Maria is a super-friendly and helpful host and reacts quickly to any queries. We would definetely come here again!

Maria's place is clean, spacious and has everything you would need for a long stay. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a lovely garden, with a barbecue and there is also a swimming pool but it is only open during summer. We stayed at Maria's place for a month and she was very helpful and friendly, whenever we needed anything, she was quick to answer my messages. The bed is very comfortable and there is a lovely snuggly couch in the living room with a big screen television too. The walks around the house are also very nice and the supermarket is a twenty minute drive away. The only thing that wasn't great was when we got a shock at the end of the stay because the payment for gas usage was extremely high and is separate from the rent paid on airbnb. The cost is 1.2 euros per M3, which doesn't seem much at first sight but we did our best to keep our usage as low as possible nonetheless and used the thermostat to make sure the heating wasn't on constantly and respected a maximum temperature. However, we ended up with one of the biggest bills we've ever paid for gas, almost five times what we would usually pay for gas when we're at home. We didn't receive proof of the cost of the consumption so we were a bit disappointed about that part.
