Grande maison très bien équipée pour 12 personnes avec une situation exceptionnelle !! Idéal pour profiter de la mer et de couchers de soleil magiques sur le Mont Olympe !!

It's a beautiful house, built in a traditional Halkidiki style, in a very beautiful area, first on the sea and a sandy beach, in an excellent location. The sea is very shallow so ideal for children, there is also a beautiful beach bar only 10 mins away on foot where the sea is deeper. The beach is almost private which is a plus, something we all enjoyed. One of the biggest assets of the house is the very beautiful external space with a very nice sea view, ideal for family gatherings and friends. The layout of the house is very practical and spacious and every bedroom has its own bathroom which is very good. Though it doesn't seem to have been touched for a number of years and it could do with a little bit of TLC, the house has all you need to spend a very nice holiday. Restaurants and bars of Nikiti are only 5 mins drive away. The only recommendations would be to install mosquito nets in the windows of the bedrooms and a washing machine. Having said that we managed to sleep with a fan and electric mosquito repellents are very effective. Access to beach sunbeds / umbrellas etc. would be a real bonus. We had a very warm welcome from Dimitra who looks after the house and communication with Margarita was excellent. We had a great time and hope to come again some time in future.

Disappointing experience. We feel our experience at this place was quite bad. We booked the house based on the pictures that showed the view, the garden, the living and some rooms. We understood later that we should have asked for pictures with the bathrooms and kitchen. The house has a wonderful location and scenery and access to an almost private little sand beach and it has a nice traditional greek architecture style. The bad part is that is has not been refurbished in a very, but very long time and the bathrooms and kitchen are very old with lots of rust, limescale, limestone, bad plums, bad electricity system. As we paid a lot of money for this house we were expecting medium up (if not luxury) conditions and instead we got “grandma’s” house with a mold/old house smell all over the place. There is no AC but neither mosquitos nets so you get to choose between sweating a lot or being bit a lot. If refurbished thoroughly this property could be a gem but until then the host needs to be honest in the pictures and house rules (not to throw toilet paper in the WC, not to use oven and hot water boiler at the same time, schedule the hot water usage and so on). Ask for more pictures and house rules and think if the value for money satisfies you. Not recommended for those with higher standards or needs. Not recommended for families with children as well.

This is an old house, right next to the sea, with a stunning view. There is a small bay with a tiny sand beach at about 100m down the stairs from the house, with shallow water for the first 50m or so, which was very safe for our kids. The architecture of the house is not really impressive, however it perfectly matches the surrounding. There are a number of old pieces of furniture and chandeliers in the house which match the style. The terrace, facing the sea, is very spacious so we ended up spending quite a lot of time here with our friends. The house is within 5-10' drive to most restaurants, so quite convenient for those who want to dine out. I would only recommend a bigger fridge and AC, at least in the bedrooms facing West.
