We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s stone house. It’s is super cozy (especially with the fire place), spacious, clean and has a nice garden. The location is perfect: very calm, but also not too far from the main attractions. Maria was very welcoming and we immediately felt at home. I can totally recommend staying here!

Ik was op zoek naar een rustige plek en die kreeg ik. Het was lekker rustig met een afgescheiden zitplaats buiten. Leuk uitzicht. Houtkacheltje in het huisje was heerlijk. Maria kwam regelmatig kijken of ik iets nodig had en vulde zelf spullen aan. Vanaf deze locatie zijn alle plekken op het eiland prima te bereiken met een auto. Ik vond het een fijne plek om te zijn.

I had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. It was clean, private, well-equipped, and most of all, quiet. I enjoyed walking and meditating on the beautiful grounds, and the location was very convenient. Close off the freeway but quiet enough to where you don't recognize it. I'd love to come back. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Hemos pasado una semana en la casa de María, todo paz y tranquilidad. La casa está muy limpia y completamente equipada, con cambio de toallas incluido. Muy bien situada, cerca de muchos lugares de interés. Un alojamiento muy recomendable. Muchas gracias María!!!!

Pros: - Lots of privacy and quiet - Close to tea plantations, Furnas, lovely hikes - Host gave me advil once Cons: - The listing warns of mosquitoes, but its not specific enough. Dozens would get into the house through cracks and bother us all night long. We were covered in bites and ruined our sleep. - The sheep were scared & hadn't been sheared in a long time and were covered in dirt. Cows covered in flies - The host did not respond to 70% of our messages. The day before we flew to Azores I asked a simple question and got no response. This made me scared to even go because what if we made the 6 hour flight and nobody was there to let us in? - When we paid for this Airbnb a laundry machine was listed. Host said it was broken but her own laundry machine was working and 5 meteres from our door. She said we cannot use it, even though we stayed 13 days. We had to drive to city to do laundry because she didn't care. - The shower cannot handle 2 warm showers at a time -Broken electric gate
