As we left we commented definitely one of our top 3 airbnb ever. Truly amazing setting right in the middle of the moor. Great walks straight from the door. And lovely walk to the pub. Gorgeous space with a great aga for cooking and drying boots. Lovely hosts and fresh produce from the farm. Will definitely be back. Thanks so much alison and anton

We spent 5 nights here in April. The accommodation certainly lived up to our expectations in every way and we especially loved the cosy welcome from the Aga as we walked in on a hilly afternoon. Everything met our needs and requirements - a peaceful, quiet and calm location, comfy bed, great shower and comfortable armchairs to snuggle up in while watching TV after a blustery day of rambling on the moors. Alison and Anton were great hosts, available when we needed them but never intrusive. They were especially helpful when we managed to puncture a tyre on our car beyond repair - within less than 3 hours a mobile tyre man had come out and replaced the tyre. This was at the end of the first day of our stay and rescued the remainder of the week from what could have been a disaster! We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Lower Barn as a great place to relax and unwind! Full marks from Mark and Bee

The barn was beautifully furnished and very spacious. The aga worked great and we cooked some of the beef from the farm which was delicious. The wifi was strong and we were both able to work from the barn. Alison and Anton were really friendly hosts, as were the dogs and chickens round the farm. The barn is in a beautiful location with views across the valley. We went on some great walks from the house, and there is a good spot for swimming on the west dart within walking distance. Would strongly recommend.

Wonderful place to stay! Cosy, comfortable and with Dartmoor on your doorstep. Alison and Anton are welcoming hosts and we had a marvellous, relaxing break.

We had another amazing stay at the lower barn. We absolutely love the location of Alison and Anton’s farm, especially its remoteness, moorland setting, and quietness. This is the best location from which to explore the wonders of Dartmoor by foot in any season. The barn is warm, cosy, and fully equipped, and Anton and Alison are very welcoming, and the perfect hosts. We very very much look forward to staying again!!
