This place is a gem! The house was comfortable, but the real highlight for us was the beautiful land. We loved roaming the trails and playing in the pond- swimming, canoeing, and the paddle boat was a highlight for my 4 year old son. Christina was a helpful, welcoming and very responsive host. We would definitely recommend Otter Haven for a peaceful and private getaway.

It's definitely one of my favorite stays so far! The land was beautiful & so peaceful with plenty to do & see. The house is just as great and very clean! Lastly, Christina was very sweet & helpful as well as responsive. We would love to stay again!

We loved our stay at Otter Haven! It was very relaxing! We spent most days hiking on the trails or boating on the pond. My 10-year-old, 8-year-old, and 6-year-old boys enjoyed being able to go out alone on the paddle boat, 2-person kayak, and 1 person child kayak. (Even though the pond is not deep, we brought our own lifejackets for the boys) My husband and I often took out the canoe. The boys also loved to run splashing into the pond - sometimes up to chest deep! Another poster mentioned leeches, but thankfully, we never found any. The house was exactly as described. The beds were very comfortable, and we had no problem sleeping (we are used to having a Tempur-Pedic at home). Many of the windows in the house look out onto the beautiful landscape surrounding it. Christina was a great hostess, and both she and her children are fun to hang out with and get to know. We immensely enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return! Maybe soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at Christina’s place! The cabin had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of four! Christina was very responsive and took great care of us while we were there! She even brought over “rainy day activities” for our kids on a rainy morning. The property is really cool. Great hiking trails and we enjoyed checking out the spring-fed ponds. It’s also in a great location close to Hayward. I would highly recommend this cabin!!
