Cozy house in the wonderful countryside of Val di Noto. The apartment is at the first floor and includes two bedrooms. This is for Ciclamino room, with private bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen and a nice terrace. Facing the river from which it takes the name, Casetta Manghisi is a characteristic house immersed into the wonderful countryside of Val di Noto. The apartment, new-built, has 2 cozy bedrooms with private bathroom with every comfort. Kitchen is fully-equipped and shared between guests, as well as the terrace where you could relax during the day and enjoy a shining sky in the evening. Bedrooms take their names from flowers: Anemone (room 1) and Ciclamino (room 2). Both rooms with queen-size bed, are equipped with sheets and towels, tv and internet wi-fi. Excellent gîte à conseiller
Lucia, Tanino and Gabriele were very nice Hosts, so warm and welcoming with us it felt like arriving to stay with family. Gabriele gave us great advice to discover the region. The room was exactly as described and even better than on the pictures. We definitely recommend staying there! Thanks all for making us feel at home from the very 1st second :)
Esperienza più che positiva.Accoglienza calorosa da parte di Lucia,Tanino e tutta la loro famiglia.Al nostro arrivo(con un bel pò di ritardo) abbiamo trovato un alloggio pulito,arredato con gusto,dotato di ogni comfort.La promessa di farci vedere un cielo stellato senza eguali è stata rispettata.La casa si trova in aperta campagna,a pochi km da Noto (circa 20 min di auto tra panorami splendidi) e dalla Riserva di Vendicari (circa 30/35 min di auto) dove potrete godere di un mare e una natura veramente incontaminata.Verrete svegliati dal cinguettio degli uccelli e vi addormentere facendovi cullare dal suono dell'acqua del fiume Manghisi che scorre a poche decine di metri dalla casa. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato dell'ottima frutta fresca,prodotti per la prima colazione e bibite "ghiacciate" in frigorifero.In sostanza,tutto ciò che sognereste dopo un viaggio di svariati km con 40 °C. Lucia,Tanino e loro figlio Gabriele ci hanno saputo consigliare ottimi posti dove mangiare,spiagge da visitare e Tanino(grande appassionato di storia)ci ha affascinato con i suoi racconti su Siracusa e la sua storia antichissima. In conclusione,ci sentiamo di consigliare questa struttura a chi è in cerca di tranquillità,amanti della natura e mare incontaminato,e a chi cerca una buona base di partenza per scoprire la Sicilia barocca.
We had a great time at Casetta Manghisi. The Calvo family is really sweet and made us feel very welcome! They provided us with very good Italian coffee :) and information about places worth visiting. The room and kitchen were very clean and well furnished and the big roof terrace was a big plus. If you are looking for nature and a quiet area we would recommend this house. And since it's located about 20 minutes by car from Noto, it is easy to go to a beautiful town.

Casetta Manghisi is an ideal place for those who want to visit oriental Sicily: few kilometers far from Siracusa, with its impressive archaeological site and the old island of Ortigia, the Natural Reserve of Cavagrande, one of the biggest canyon in Europe and its suggestive lakes, the town of Noto capitol of Baroque and the uncontaminated beaches of Oasi Faunistica di Vendicari and Eloro...and really much more to say in few words!
