The apartment on the main floor of the building, accessible by stairs, is composed of three bedrooms (one double and two twin), two lounges, a dining room, an entrance hall, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a garden with pergolas and walkways between rose bushes that is only accessible from a bridge. The house, built on roman walls, has assumed its current appearance in the mid-eighteenth century by the joining of two houses tower. The furniture is antique as well as painted coffered ceilings, doors and fireplaces. The kitchen is fully equipped. Many monuments in the immediate vicinity: the church of San Domenico, the Museum of Contemporary Art in palace Collicola with frescoed gallery of the eighteenth century, the Roman theater and its archaeological museum. All other buildings for which the city is famous in the world, are just a few minutes walk , but Spoleto is also plenty of restaurants where you can sample local specialties, delicious. Spoleto is famous for cultural events such as the Festival of Two Worlds, the opera season of “ Lo Sperimentale “and studies on the High Middle Ages. Passing through beautiful landscapes are within a short time some of the most famous places in the world: Spello, Assisi, Perugia and many others. Since always the house is open to our friends who can enjoy the atmosphere that characterizes it, while feeling at ease, but above all acting like they were at home. We therefore expect that our guests respect and protect our things that have been collected in more than a century with the aim to make the environment more welcoming. Living in Milan I can not always be present to welcome and greet guests. In my absence there will be a trustworthy person capable of giving all the necessary information. Roberto's home in Spoleto is stunning. We loved the roomy place and all his interesting décor. I can't say enough about how delighted we were to stay there for a week. Francesca was very good about meeting us and showing us how everything works. Roberto was easy to communicate with and very willing to answer any questions we had. He also sent a map and instructions on where to park before hand that were very useful. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend his beautiful house. Spoleto also has many great restaurants and lots to see and do there.

Highly recommend. We had a great time in Roberto's house in Spoleto. The house is an adventure in itself, a charming labyrinth of rooms complete with eclectic antiques and painted ceilings. Will not appeal to minimalists, but a treasure trove for lovers of ancient things. Lots of space, it took me about five days to learn my way around the house!Having a private garden while still being within the old town was fantastic, we loved breakfasting under the vines in the garden. Our one critique would be that the beds weren't very comfortable. Roberto was a fabulous host. Offering advice about what to see and eat, as well as specific advice about parking, he was very responsive and friendly. Although he does not live locally, we had a warm welcome from his friend Francesca.
