We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Steph's place. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the attractions and restos we wanted to visit. Thanks for having us over at your place!

Despite looking old, the place is very well maintained and is in a peaceful location. Amenities are provided as listed (but there are no bidets, but you'll manage with a pail and a dipper.) The toilet and shower area on the second floor is also peculiar in such that it's not fully separated/enclosed, but there's still a door that you can lock. But you may also use the fully-enclosed bathroom on the first floor if you're uncomfortable with having an open bathroom. Wifi is available, but there were times when it was a bit laggy. There are lots of establishments within walking distance. You can even walk to UPLB easily from here. If you need a quiet place to stay, you should consider this unit. The host and caretakers are responsive and kind.

The house itself is very clean and spacious. The compound has a very nice garden. The host rarely communicated but she has a caretaker that helped us find the place. I didn't try using the kitchen gadgets except for the electric kettle for boiling water. I had trouble using the microwave because the extension cord did not seem to work. It's very difficult for me to get help because I do not have a local number to call the caretaker. I wish there was an instruction book for all the listed amenities. The AC works very well, they were even turned on when we checked in, very thoughtful of the host since it was really so hot in the place. However, the AC units are only in the two bedrooms. The rest of the house is really hot. There were two electric fans but they were not much of a help. The place is really close to UPLB. Truly walking distance which is good. Not the fault of the host but the street outside the compound can get very busy with tricycles and cars and there was no sidewalk.

The house was big enough for us with two kids but we found that the bathrooms have no bidet and the bathroom at the second floor has oddly no main door. Only the rooms on the second floor have AC, the living room has two electric fans that were old and broken, it did not give enough ventilation. The living room is too hot for a summer stay. I like that they provided us with plenty of good towels but the blankets were very thin. I love the location of the property because it's walking distance to good restaurants and UPLB. I think the house is old and so the price should be adjusted, I rented another AirBnB the week before our stay with Steph and that house was way better with similar price. I must mention that in fairness the caretaker was responsive to our complaints. The AC got broken during our stay and they called the maintenance guy quickly and we were able to make the necessary adjustments on the day. I love that the place has a washing machine, however, there's no hair blowers!
