Roberto et sa famille ont été très accueillant. La fille de Roberto maitrise le français ce qui a facilité l'échange.L'endroit est tres paisible pour se reposer.Les deux terrasses ont une vue sur la Toscane, magnifique pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner. La climatisation dans les chambres est un plus très appréciable.Du logement, une promenade dans la Toscane est possible ,avec les oliviers,cyprès et romarin. Merci pour la confiture et l'huile d'olive de votre production ,un régal.Nous recommandons ce logement. Merci pour tous.

At the end of a Tuscan country road you will find a really lovely ‘best kept secret.’ We checked in after a long day traveling and on our way up the mountain and through the trees we came to a small area of hillside homes. Roberto and his family live in a large house with an independent apartment on the top floor. All very modern and extremely clean. The flat has been built to a very high standard. Extra high ceilings and windows, clutter-free interior, lots and lots of natural light. Two bedrooms—the main bedroom is large with a beautiful view (and privacy) from the bed. This bedroom leads to a large, sheltered and private terrace that is warm on even cooler days and has good views over the mountains. The other side of the flat leads to a giant terrace—and I do mean giant— with another amazing view. The bathroom is huge with a shower and a bathtub (first we’ve seen in seven weeks!) and lots of hot water. This apartment is so very comfortable! It’s extremely quiet, too. You have to go up a small flight of stairs and the parking is in a secure spot in front of the house. This is a quiet, natural area with rarely a car going by. From the house, there is an excellent hike to two castles (privately owned) and the hike goes through the woods on the obvious remains of an old Roman road, clearly built to last! (Amazing to see the thick rocks still embedded in the ground) You’ll pass streams with small cascades and pools and old bridges (original Roman) We walked over two hours and met no one at all. Do your research and you’ll find some excellent walks in this region. In the fall, we enjoyed the leaf change. Saturday morning, hit the weekly market in Greve. One side is clothing, leathers, linens. The other side, across a main road, you’ll find very good produce, cheese, meat, fish. The fruit and veggies were absolutely gorgeous. We even found a specialty that we’d been searching for during our whole trip! The clothing market has nice, local shops on either side under old porticoes. This mixed with lively cafes and bakeries , left us with a positive impression of Greve. There were very few tourists—it’s mid October— and it had a wonderful local feel. Of course, there’s so much more to experience in this beautiful area with its gorgeous mix of vineyards and olive trees. Such a patchwork of greens. Roberto, Anna Maria and their two daughters, Serena and Sabrina, are such genuine, down to earth people! They’re so welcoming and helpful and they really care about their guests. We had really interesting discussions with all of them. I cannot express how grateful we are to have chosen this flat with such kind, hospitable people. This is why we enjoy Airbnbs so much—meeting local people who are such amazing ambassadors for their areas. Sadly, we have to go home soon after seven weeks traveling in Italy and we are leaving on a high note after our stay with Roberto and family! Many thanks! Colleen and Werner

The apartment of Roberto is wonderful. A lovely surround view in the hills in the Chianti region. Probably it looks a bit remote if you see it on the map, but it’s the perfect mix of remoteness while being close to the nice Tuscan towns around. The apartment is nice, clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped. With a good bed and more than enough space to accommodate four people. Also with two I would definitely recommend it! The hospitality of Roberto and his wife is great. A warm welcome, outstanding communication and more than enough tips about the area around. In short, if you like a relaxed holiday, in the middle of the Chianti region in a nice apartment, don’t look further!

Definitely one of the most quiet and peaceful places I have rented through Airbnb, great apartment with a great view, and Robert is a very friendly and welcoming host. I highly recommend for those who want to spend a quality time at the countryside of Firenze and Tuscany away from the crowded places.
