Located at 200 meters above sea level, Villa Anna is immersed in a peaceful open countryside with the fabulous panorama of the northern Sicilian coast. There are no villas within the immediate vicinity of the property, peace and quiet abound, and only birdsong punctuates the silence.
The secluded outside space includes a barbecue area and a wooden pergola (with direct access to the kitchen), which is ideal for al-fresco dining while taking in the breathtaking views across the garden, the countryside and the sea. The front garden, filled with Mediterranean plants and trees, features a sunny sitting area with spectacular views and dramatic sunset over the Tyrrhenian sea (on a good day, all seven Aeolian Islands can be clearly seen). The surrounding private grounds of over 8000 square meters are filled with olive groves and fruit trees, there is always a fresh fruit to be picked, whatever the season! Note: the villa enjoys a secluded location and car hire is therefore strongly recommended. Ample and secure parking is available within the estate.

Villa Anna is set in a quiet haven yet close to the spectacular beaches and attractions of eastern Sicily. Less than 5 minutes drive (2 km) down the hill are the coastal towns of Villafranca Tirrena, with its sandy beaches, shops and restaurants, and Ortoliuzzo with its beautiful sandy beach. Here you can sunbath or swim in the crystal-clear warm waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea which make swimming pleasant from May through October. The villa is within easy driving distance from the breathtaking sandy beaches of Venetico (15 mins drive), Milazzo (at 25 mins) and Tindari (at 35 mins), with its extraordinary sandy “tongues” (a sandbank stretching 1.5km into the sea which is now a nature reserve). Just past Tindari is the charming seaside resort of Capo d'Orlando, with its magnificent beaches and turquoise waters, while the stunning Aeolian Islands are only a short hop on the hydrofoil from Milazzo, making it ideal for a day trip. On the Ionian side, the world famous beaches of Taormina are 40 mins drive away.
Apart from the beaches there are numerous attractions within easy driving distance of the property including the stunning medieval town of Taormina (40 mins drive), Messina and its Strait (at 20 mins), Tindari, one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Sicily, with its magnificent Sanctuary and Greek-Roman remains (at 35 mins), the Nebrodi nature reserve with its wonderful walking routes and unspoiled hill towns (1 hour drive). Also very easily accomplished are day trips to the charming Cefalù and to Mount Etna volcano, which are a little over 1 hour's drive away. A visit to the small hill-top village of Serro (a fascinating 10mins walk from the property) will give you a unique opportunity to sample rural Sicilian life as it has been lived for centuries.
