Two nights really wasn’t enough! Abbey House was perfect in every way, everything you needed and more with the extra touches like fresh eggs, lemon cake and shortbread. Kathy was the perfect host with great knowledge of the surrounding area. Lastly, the view.. wow it’s was stunning. We look forward to returning at some point. Thank you Kathy and team.

What a wonderful place to stay. Kathy’s pre arrival information was the best I have ever received- follow the directions to the letter and the place is easy to find. Once inside The Abbey House is spacious, warm and well equipped- everything we needed was there. We took Kathy’s delicious cake and shortbread out on a walk and it was very welcome when the walk took longer than expected. We enjoyed our mornings and late afternoons/ evenings watching the incredible scenery and weather changing and what a treat to see a red squirrel running on the wall near the kitchen window and a barn owl going out for his evening catch. This is a place to re-set and recharge and we feel lucky to have stayed in such a special place. As for Kathy and Bill, they are lovely people and wonderful hosts. They really know what they are doing and have thought of everything.

loved Staying at Abbey House everything you needed, felt like home from home, lovely welcome and treats!! very clean and comfortable ..stunning location ..it was a great base for my stay..will be back
