A truly spectacular house in a great location to experience the garden route. Herman is a fantastic host - exceptionally responsive and always looking to make sure our stay was a success. I don’t think photographs can quite do the views justice and the house itself is high end but yet homely - a great find.

We stayed at this stunning house in Oubaai in the Western Cape in South Africa. We didn’t realise it at the time, but it was the first time this host opened the house to the AirBnB community. Although the host is based in London, he was terrifically responsive to our requests. The house exceeded our expectations. There is no doubt that the owners take great pride in their house and they welcome guests who enjoy the finer things in life. We value our privacy and the house provided us with the luxury of closing the front door and live in our own paradise. The pool is exquisite; you can ask the host to set the pool temperature in advance. Oubaai is a golf estate and we are keen golfers, it is a stunning golf course and there are several other terrific courses such as Fancourt, Kingswood, George, Pezula, Semola and Pinnacle point nearby. Each of these courses have something special to offer. If luxury, privacy and a stunning view is your thing, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I am already planning my next trip here.
