We booked this apartment based on the pictures and very positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the many defects in the apartment, which is why we had to break off our stay with Luigi after the 2nd day (10 days were booked). Unfortunately, Luigi refused to react to the defects (mold, terribly dirty mattresses, and much more) even though we offered him to take a picture on site personally. Accordingly, he refused a cancellation or a partial refund of the amount paid. Accordingly, we contacted AirBNB, who asked us to photograph and send pictures of the defects. After receiving the pictures, AirBNB waived Luigi's cancellation policy and refunded our money so that we were able to rent another apartment in the area. As for the shortcomings: 1/ potential mold growth in the basement: as has already been described in another review, the basement smells musty. The basement is completely furnished with wood like a ship's cabin. Since my daughter's tag fell into the bed frame and I had to open it, I identified it as black mold on the walls below the bed frame. I also looked at the second bed frame and identified black mold under the bed frame. There was also rust on every metal object in the basement, which is a clear sign of too much moisture. At one point in the basement, the wooden wall was discolored over a large area. We identify a clear health hazard here, which is why we had not entered this floor again! 2/ Terribly dirty mattresses: since identified black mold in the basement, we brought the children upstairs. For this we needed the mattresses from the basement. So I inspected the mattresses for mold and unfortunately discovered more than that: the mattresses, which were covered with bed sheets, had urine stains (on every side and corner). There were also brown and red stains on the mattresses. All in all, the mattresses were terribly dirty (as if they were often dragged over a dirty floor). There was also hair and pubic hair everywhere on the mattresses. In short: such mattresses can be found in the rubbish heap, that's all they're good for. It is very irresponsible to let your guests sleep on such mattresses! 3/ Bugs: the basement is on a slope surrounded by many wild bushes. If you drop a small piece of bread in the apartment, 10 minutes later you will find a large anthill in the same place. The mosquitoes were a terrible nuisance as no matter what time of the day mosquitoes kept coming from the bushes into the apartment. Our son but also we were badly bitten despite the mosquito spray. But also centipedes, beetles, bugs were permanent in the apartment. The one who cleans the apartment knows that too, because when we arrived the whole apartment stank of insecticide and bug spray was everywhere. This is certainly due to the location and the surrounding nature. Here Luigi should think about better insect protection on all windows. 4/ Overall cleanliness of the apartment: everything in the apartment was stuffed with Luigi's personal belongings, books, CDs, videocassettes, photo albums, an incredible amount of crockery in the apartment. The apartment itself is very small (I guess about 30 square meters) after we could only live on the upper floor, we could hardly move. The dishes weren't clean, they were sticky and made an unclean impression. Balance sheet: the apartment has a great sea view, that's right. The pool in the neighboring building is good. But: the price to be paid for this was too high for us, since this is a clear health hazard and it was just disgusting to stay in the apartment/sleep there. Access to the beach is dangerous for adults, but especially for children: they are rocks from which a ladder leads down into the water. All around are rocks in the water. for the first two days none of us could go into the sea at this point, even though only light waves caused one to be thrown against the rocks. And I say that as an extreme athlete! Luigi should pay less attention to his profits, reinvest the money from the rentals in the apartment and should take care on the health of its guests, which he obviously doesn’t care about ! I've never had a complaint with AirBNB and we regularly use the platform for vacations. The new apartment in Sestri Levante was cheaper, 2 minutes walk from the beach and, above all, as it has always been on Airbnb: it is wonderfully clean!

La vue est splendide. Le logement et la piscine sont au calme. La cuisine est bien équipée. Tout fonctionne bien. Luigi et sa fille sont très réactifs et accommodants. Tout est réuni pour passer un bon séjour en Ligurie.

My kids (9 and 6) loved this space that felt more like a boat then an apartment on the water. We watched fireworks from the balcony and used the pool frequently during the hot summer days. I would not recommend this space if you have younger children or your children are not great listeners. The cliffs to the water are treacherous.

Was a nice stay in the appartment. Its nice to have a Calm Holiday and to escape from the stress But you have to be a Good car driver to get to the Appartement parkingplace and also you Need the car to Go everywhere

Die Aussicht ist einmalig, die Lage exklusiv und abseites der grossen Touristen Massen. Das Schwimmen direkt unterhalb des Appartements ist für gute Schwimmer einfach ein Traum. Man braucht ein Auto um die beiden nächsten Dörfer zu erreichen. Zoagli ist klein und sehr nett und mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten erreichbar. Chiavari ist in 20 Minuten erreichbar und hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Vor allem die Altstadt und die coolen Restaurants mit vielen Einheimischen Gästen waren einfach top. Lugigi und seine Tochter Eugenia sind sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit sehr gut erreichbar. Es hat alles wunderbar geklappt und wir können den Aufenthalt nur empfehlen.
