I really enjoyed my stay here. Florence Park is a lovely suburb and the area has quiet vintage/alternative vibe which I prefer over the more mainstream Cherry Street nearby. The studio is a good sized space and the hosts are very friendly. Also, if you are into martial arts there is a dojo only 20 mins walk away on Harvard.

I stayed at Matt & Jamie’s place for 13 weeks during a travel contract. It is as advertised, except for a few things I will note below. It is listed as a studio, but there is not a full kitchen. I would stay again, but it is more suited to short term stays. pros: Clean, friendly and all issues were solved very quickly, nice neighborhood, comfortable bed once it was supported properly (see below), has most things you’ll need, decorated nicely. Things to be aware of: The mattress is too large for the futon it is on, meaning that it hangs off the edge. I would say only one person can comfortably sleep on it. They do have a cot with a mattress in the closet that is the perfect size to support that outer edge so that’s what I did. This would allow for two people to sleep on it comfortably. This also created a “couch” for me to sit on as well. Their dog can be loud sometimes. Typically isn’t for very long though. Street parking, but the street is quiet and there is always spaces.

I thoroughly enjoyed the place. They had great art hung up, comfortable couch/bed and even the foldaway bed was comfortable. Hot pad and tea kettle nice touch! Lots of extra storage and great outdoor space.

If you have a pet, I would not recommend staying here. When I checked in with my cat, I was told that there was rat poison recently placed in the yard, so I shouldn’t let my cat outside. I never considered that it may be inside as well, until I came home one day and my cat was audibly and physically in pain, disoriented and just not herself at all. $1300 in vet bills later, I discovered what appeared to be rat poison in the corner behind the mini fridge. Cats and small dogs can easily jump over the tiny trash bin blocking the corner and get into the poison. I ended up having to leave the AirBNB due to the unsafe conditions and was only offered a small refund compared to what it cost me. The host took no responsibility over the poison and blamed it on a previous guest, which means they were either lying or they don’t clean the apartment thoroughly between stays. All in all, I would not recommend staying here if you have a pet.

I had just arrived from South Africa and it was my first time in the states. I am attending The University of Tulsa and needed a place to stay for my first month. The place was cosy and provided me with exactly what I needed. It was close to campus and in a great location to get to downtown as well as South Tulsa. Matt and Jamie were very friendly and accommodating and the room was exactly as advertised. I’d recommend their place if you’re looking for somewhere to take care of your short term needs! They also have a nice outside area which I imagine is of more use during fall and winter but it was so hot when I was there (end of summer) and so I preferred to be inside with the AC!
