We stayed at the Neelakurunji Luxury Plantation resorts from 23 - 25 July 2022. The booking was for 2 family (12 pax), although in the end only 10 of us showed up. The location is simply amazing. It's hard to imagine this is actually Kerala. The property is well maintained and well manicured by friendly and polite staff. The bathrooms are huge and very clean. Around the property are fresh water channels, mini waterfalls, huge boulders and tons of plantation around. The most divine experience was waking up to the exotic wild birds wake-up calls. And the complimentary breakfast was simply outstanding, our high compliments to the chef! We will definitely recommend this to our family and friends! Having said that, there are some constructive feedback to give, hopefully can be taken as recommendation of improvement for future visits. The internet connectivity is minimal at best, our unit did not have a modem although upon request we received a WiFi dongle (without charger) but did not have much coverage beyond the table it was placed on. The roads to the property are in really poor condition. We were told to stop our 12-seater Tempo Traveller van, at close to +/-5kms of the property, and the hotel Jeep came to pick us up. But upon check out, we were charged for each of those trips! Now, I am not sure why hotel guests must pay for the condition of the roads as this is not the fault of the visitors. This cost either be absorbed or clearly communicated up front, not charged separately at all. The last thing is our unit did endure some shrieking mice sounds (from the attic?) early in the morning, but rest assured no mice were found inside the building, although we did see one outside the unit. Granted this is the wilderness so this might be a harder issue to completely resolve. Apart from the above, everything else was in fine order. The people and staff were incredibly hospitable. We would definitely recommend this resort to our family and friends.

Driving - if you are driving yourself to this place be prepared for very steep roads, very narrow sharp turns. So make sure you bring 4 wheel drive cars else it is a nightmare to drive. Stay - A nice spacious house with nice views in couple of rooms. And they don’t have kitchen(they have mentioned it in AirBnB too but still I am just confirming it here) Location - very isolated. Communicate everything clearly to the staff before reaching there. If the roads are blocked call them immediately. Also only Jio cellular network worked. Again bring 4x4 wheel drive cars else it is a pain when it rains. Food - breakfast is included. Lunch and dinner are provided on request. You will mostly have dinner there as it is hard to have dinner outside and drive in the night to this plantation because it is really really dangerous. So for dinner make sure you ask the prices and options before your checkin. The prices are on the very very high end. So be prepared for that. And the quality of the dinner we had was terrible, may it was just a hit and miss. Staffs - One of the humble and sweetest people. All our needs were taken care of. They made sure our stay is as pleasant as possible.

We booked the 4 room villa for our family of 8 for 3 nights. We wanted to have a private celebration of our Son’s 2nd Birthday & Neelkurunji was the perfect match. Communication & service was very good & their team was very supportive. We loved the local complimentary breakfast. We loved the fact that its secluded, you get your privacy & the views are breathtaking. I wish I could enjoy my chai everyday from their room balcony unfortunately we had to head back to reality ;) Thanks Suja & Arun. We’ll be back soon.

This is a great property to enjoy the nature. Location is excellent and the staff was very helpful. We loved our stay here.
