Super cute place for 1-2 people. Some of the decor is different than the pics but it actually looks even better in person. The location is great, not too far from 62 but still nice and private. The hammock is awesome for viewing the stars at night. Would def stay here again.
What a lovely little place to stay. It was perfect for my partner and I while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The entrance was only 20 min away. We loved the lot the property is on since it is very quiet. Their is AC which was a life saver since we visited in June. The home decor was so cute and trendy. Also, the record player is a rad touch! Could not recommend more.

The Homesteader is located in an area known as "The Mesa" by the locals - people are drawn to its wide-open desert vistas and amazing sunsets. Most properties are on 5 acre lots, with lots of open desert in between, so houses are more scattered about. At night you'll definitely see more stars than neighboring house lights. Shooting stars abound here - maybe because you're drawn up into the night sky out here. Our nearby neighbors are two horse ranches - some days you'll see more horses than passing cars. It's a pretty magical place.
