Over the weekend, we had the pleasure of staying at a charming retreat that exceeded all expectations. Tucked away in a serene and picturesque location, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights was the exceptional level of privacy afforded to guests, allowing for uninterrupted relaxation and rejuvenation. Overall, our weekend getaway was nothing short of delightful, and I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a tranquil and rejuvenating retreat.

Great little retreat if you need to get away from city life for a few days. The gardens are fantastic to wander through, and it's only a 15 minute drive to town if you need anything.

I moved with my partner Michael from inner Melbourne to North East Victoria eight years ago to our small mixed farm in Swanpool where we produce Shiraz and Chardonnay wine from our small vineyard, run a flock of dorper sheep and experiment with different varieties of plants in our hilltop garden. The more time we spend in this part of North East Victoria the more wonderful things we have discovered. Such as watching movies at the Swanpool Cinema from a Gold Class lounge chair with a home made choc top in hand, to savouring a local cider before digging in to famous parmigiana at the Tatong Tavern to taking the scenic backroads via Power's Lookout with its spectacular views to the King Valley to try some of Victoria's best wines. Having travelled widely we feel we have finally found home and enjoy sharing our country hideaway with guests, friends and family. We look forward to doing some traveling again soon and would like to meet and share our experiences with fellow travellers.
