If you’re thinking about it…just do it. Everything is as described ..except better. A little piece of paradise only a short drive to the sights of Ottawa or scenic Gatineau Park. Everything you could ask for is provided on a very quiet and peaceful lake. There has been no expense spared with high end appliances, furnishings, sound system and even the BBQ! We enjoyed paddling around the lake and caught loads of fish right off of the dock! We could not have asked for a better stay! Chet was in touch throughout our stay to answer any questions and to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. We can’t recommend this place enough!

Chet was an awesome host, and his cottage guesthouse is the best I have ever been too. It looks just as great in person as it does in the photos. The location is excellent. Every morning we would go for a swim to a waterfall just 100m from the dock and back. We'd warm up in the wood sauna, then continue enjoying the day. There's no limit to the activities available - canoe, kayak, board games. One of the days it rained and we stayed inside watching tv of the massive flat screen in the basement. Overall phenomenal experience. 10/10 will definitely come back at some point.

Fantastic place! Beautiful, private and quiet! Perfect for a couple to get away from hustle and bustle. Great communication from the hosts. We will come back next year!!!

Great cottage with wonderful options for different outdoor spaces/patios. Super comfortable and cozy loft bed. Everything was exactly as pictured - will definitely look to return!

We stayed at Kamanik Guesthouse for a month while working remotely. It's a great spot for a couple to enjoy the peace and quiet. The cottage has great appliances and utilities, groceries and shops are just ten minutes away, and it's a short drive to Ottawa if you need to commute. Nothing beats hanging out on the dock and watching the turtles and herons on the beautiful lake.
