We had such a great stay at Pergine Valdarno. The house is lovely, and nestled in the heart of an authentic and friendly village. We could wander to have our morning cappuccino and then explore Tuscany. Irene and Francesca went above and beyond with local recommendations for food and experiences. Highly recommend.

So, I have had the great benefit of a few good Airbnb stays in the last month or so. This rates among one of the best that I have had the opportunity to stay in-- and not just lately. There are so many Airbnb's these days that are great accommodations. There are fewer that offer an experience just by living there. Irene's place is a step back in time (but with ALL of the modern conveniences (including the fastest Wifi speeds I have had in ages)). The house is part of a village, and the village is an experience. How? Well, for starters, on our first night we were invited to a community fundraiser (as guests of Irene). My son Luke was invited to help prepare the meal-- to his tremendous delight-- and only hours after arriving, found ourselves getting to spend some time with the lovely people in Pergine Valdarno. Our stay continued as such with Irene taking care of so many things for us and making an incredible experience. House= Incredible & better than pictures; so wonderful!

Exceptional in every regard. Wonderful house in the most amazing Tuscan village. Very quiet and private, a warm and friendly atmosphere in the village. Irene was superb, so welcoming and made us feel right at home. She gave us lots of local recommendations, there is so much to explore in the area. Short drives to Siena, Arezzo, Florence and many other hilltop towns that are worth a visit. We will stay again without hesitation, thank you for everything.

Our stay at Villa Fracassini was magical! The Villa was perfect for two couples and offered all of the amenities and space we needed for a two week stay. It is a clean, quiet and charming medieval home with a large garden and a pool. There is free parking adjacent to the Villa. Pergine Valdarno is a quaint village with shops and services and friendly locals. The location was perfect for us as a base for visiting all of the key areas in Tuscany (Lucca, Florence, San Gimignano, Chianti, Arezzo, Montepulcianco/Montalcino). This spot wasn’t touristy when we were there mid October and doubt that it is even in high season which is exactly what we were looking for. Irene is the most hospitable host and provided us with several itineraries in the region that we wouldn’t have known about. She is passionate about Tuscany and is so connected to the people and the region. We had many authentic experiences thanks to her recommendations including a cooking class that was incredible. We can’t say enough about our visit to Villa Fracassini and would love to go back and reconnect with Irene.
