We enjoyed staying in the house, as it was very comfortable, quiet and well positioned for visiting the area.

Our host Merilyn made our stay absolutely unbearable, so much so, that we had to report her behavior to airbnb and they subsequently approved us moving of the property after a thorough investigation. She has no regard for the well being of her guests as she interfered, made rude remarks, verbally attacked us and had the audacity to tell us that we needed to discipline our children. She also uses the cleaner to snoop on the guests, as she highlighted that we had slept until 2pm on one of the days...The advertisement regarding free wifi is not accurate and we had to pay a lot of money from our own pocket. There was a flooring incident, which we immediately reported to the host. Her demeanor changed immediately and she became vindictive towards our nanny and children. Her attitude towards our family was indicative of someone who is not very tolerant towards children and we therefore do not feel that her place is suitable for families. We were very surprised to learn that there were large rats on the property and this was not disclosed upfront. The host also didn't seem bothered when we mentioned the health risks involved (we are however grateful to airbnb for supporting us and for their acknowledgement regarding the health and safety aspect pertaining to rats). In addition, the host provided constant house rules via watts app and telephone calls which was very frustrating and invasive and these did not make us feel very welcome. The host also entered the premises (more than once) without our consent giving us the impression that she had no respect or regard for our personal space and belongings. Merilyn also came into the house when we were away and removed furniture, and covered all the couches with bed linen-worried that our children would dirty the furniture. This defaced the entire interior and again left us feeling unwelcome. We had to cut our stay short and also reported the host to Airbnb as things started escalating......The stay left a very bitter taste and we definitely do not recommend this property to anyone.

We stayed 7 weeks in this beautiful house. It was very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Marilyn is very helpful and was available for any requirement we needed. Than you very much!

This was s very lovely stay. The house is as spacious as indicated. Proximity to Tyrone Street, Zoo Lake and Zoo is really convenient and inviting for the normally so unusual strolls in Johannesburg. The location is also ideal for getting into the CBD without any significant traffic jams. Recommended for leisure and business travelers alike.

We had a great stay! Plenty of space for the whole family and conveniently situated to get to shopping centers etc. However there is no WiFi which is disappointing. Otherwise it's fabulous!
