自我介绍

Sandra and I met us while working in Central Africa 10 years ago. Since then we’ve been living, traveling and sharing joys, difficulties and projects together. The first years after leaving Africa's were quite hectic living between London, Granada and Peru. After finishing each other different MSc and without a definite job, we decided to backpack together throughout Latin America. After nearly four years out of Spain and jumping from country to country, we arrived purely by chance, to Vilanova I la Geltru. This groovy town on the Costa Dorada welcomed with us with their beaches, music festivals and their people always open to fun. What it was initially a short stay while finding new overseas jobs became six years and counting. With so many leisure possibilities and mountain sports, it was hard not to stay and live here for a little bit more. Time passed and I continued to work internationally like crazy men from country to country (South Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Southeast Asia, ...) although now was for short periods. In 2012 we embarked together on the largest and longest project: having a child! In June 2012, Telmo our son was born. Since then our smiles and bags under our eyes have never stop growing… On top of that in 2014 we saw the opportunity of a new joint project: to buy a very special house. So shaking all over, we bought an old nightclub that was one of the few romantic/neocentist mansions in the region that is neither a museum nor a governmental building. It miraculously survived the maelstrom of so called concrete/iron “modernity” of the 70’s and 80’s. Accounts and more accounts, hard work and after a year's of refurbishment without betraying the original concept, the bar was converted into the full equipped, unique and exclusive historical apartment that you will enjoy. Suddenly, during the refurbishment a new megaproject broke into our lives broke into our lives: another baby is coming!! Are we a little bit crazy? maybe... Welcome to Cal Tineta a unique historical and romantic place to spend a different beach holidays. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sandra y yo nos conocimos trabajando en África central hace ya 10 años. Desde entonces llevamos viviendo, viajando y compartiendo alegrías, dificultades y proyectos juntos. Tras dejar África los primeros años fueron un poco anárquicos viviendo entre Londres, Granada y Perú. Tras acabar cada uno una maestría y antes de reorientarnos laboralmente, nos fuimos juntos de mochileo por toda américa latina. Tras casi 4 años fuera de España y saltando de país en país, por puro azar acabamos viviendo en Vilanova i la Geltrú. Este pueblito de la costa dorada nos acogió en sus playas, en sus festivales de música y lo mejor en su gente inusualmente abierta y carnavalera. Lo que iba a ser una temporada hasta encontrar trabajo se han convertido en 6 años (y subiendo). Con tantas posibilidades de ocio y deportes de montaña, difícil no quedarnos a vivir aquí. Pasaron los años y seguí trabajando como un loco de país en país (África del sur, América Latina, Oriente Medio, Sudeste Asiático, ...) aunque ya por temporadas cortas. En 2012 nos embarcamos en el mayor y más largo de los proyectos, tener un hijo. Así en junio de 2012 nació Telmo por el que las ojeras y las sonrisas no han parado de crecer. No contentos con eso en 2014 vimos la oportunidad de otro nuevo proyecto en común, comprar una casa muy especial. Nos liamos la manta a la cabeza y compramos una antigua sala de fiestas que era una de las pocas mansiones neocentistas que no son un museo y que de milagro sobrevivió a la vorágine de la modernidad hecha de cemento de los años 70 y 80. Cuentas y más cuentas, duro trabajo y un año entero de obras para remodelar y convertir en vivienda una pieza única sin que por ello sufriera la estructura o el concepto original. De repente, durante la remodelación surgió otro megaproyecto: nuestra hija Vega que está camino. Estamos un poco locos, puede ser… Bienvenidos a Cal Tineta un espacio único donde pasar unas vacaciones de playa diferentes.
