We looked for months, looking at many properties in Cornwall, but Trevow was the only one that felt like home. It needed a lot of work to bring it to how you'll find it now. The entire house was gutted back to the original granite stone and then bit by bit rebuilt. We love Pendeen, the people are friendly and we've never yet seen a traffic jam. We love nearby Portheras Cross Beach; through our work we have both been to many beaches around the world, we both think this is the best by far. St Michael's Mount is just stunning at any time of day and we never tire of the thrill of walking across the causeway to reach the island. St Ives is beautiful year round, New Year's Eve is especially fantastic with everyone wandering the streets in fancy dress before fireworks at midnight.

The closest mainline station is Penzance (with direct connection to London Paddington). There is a local bus service from Pendeen to Penzance and most nearby villages. The closest airport is Newquay, with national connections.
