First of all I would like to thank Trupti and Samrat for the wonderful hospitality. They took out time to interact with the guests and went ahead to show us the massive estate as well as nearby attractions. I enjoyed spending quality time given the lush greenary, peaceful surrounding and the cool breeze specially during the evening. I must also mention that the food was really good, infact I had great vegetarian food after a long time. Overall I really liked the place and would definately like to visit again as well as recommend others.

Lovely estate, lush green, quiet and quaint. Hosts sent the instructions in a mail before we left which made it easier to find our way there. The cottage was spacious and well appointed. There were a number of books kept there which was a lovely surprise ane kept our 10YO happily busy. Food was great- both veg and non veg. The estate manager Amar was very prompt and helpful too. The place is situated within 30 min of Belur which is a must visit for everyone. Highly recommended and would def visit again

This is BY FAR the best home stay I have ever stayed in (and I've stayed in quite a few well known plantations in India). Samrat and Trupti are such lovely hosts that they will go out of their way to ensure one has a memorable experience at their home! The history of Hirvate Estate and the positive energy that each nook and corner of the estate gives you, is something that I have not experienced before... We enjoyed the long walks in the estate with their well behaved and friendly dogs and we were treated with such lovely Coorgi and Malnad food, that we wondered did they have a professional chef in the kitchen or what? The support staff were super prompt and warm with each and every interaction.... If one is looking for Peace and Quiet, Awesome Book collection, Excellent Hospitality, Delicious Food and Greenery - LOOK NO FURTHER! Samrat and Trupti - Thank you for this awesome experience!! We are surely coming back very very soon....

The sprawling coffee plantation of Hirvate Estate offered a beautiful, peaceful escape from Bangalore, where we were based during my first visit to India. Our cottage was charming & comfortable with a molded tin ceiling, four-poster bed, and front porch overlooking lush, landscaped grounds. This American especially appreciated her long, hot shower! Hosts Samrat and Trupti were attentive, warm, funny, and interesting. We marveled at the masterful 1100 AD Hoysala Temple and enjoyed a sunset run at Watehole Dam, which Trupti arranged. It was lovely to explore the plantation and sit on the porch listening to birdsong while staff brought us tea and sweet dogs paid us visits. Though I loved Bangalore, Goa, and Kerala, Hirvate Estate was my favorite stay, with the best food—full of fresh vegetables and legumes, flavorful but light. I am still dreaming of their coconut chutney. Because I have a sensitivity to cow’s milk, Trupti went out of her way to get almond milk. We can’t wait to return!

It was by luck that i landed on this listing and thank God for that! the location was quite accessible, and the estate is as beautiful and serene as in pictures. The food spread was awesome and made us feel very warm and at home. The caretaker Amar is also very helpful. We also had the pleasure to meet Trupti who not only took us for a walk around the property and told us so many stories. everything was very comfortable and can't wait to go back to the property!
