Everything is a maximum 5 minutes walk. The old town 3 minutes, Concha Beach 2 minutes, fashion boutiques practically by the apartment.
The center of San Sebastian is one of the most elegant area. It is located between the beach of La Concha, the Urumea River and the Old Town. East it communicates with the Gros neighborhood, to the west with the Old Town, and in the south with Amara neighborhood.
Shops and most of the landmarks of the city, including City Hall, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre or the Buen Pastor Cathedral concentrate in the center.
Restaurants are distributed throughout the area, where you can also taste the typical “pintxos” bars.
In this area, it’s a pleasure to walk along the Paseo de La Concha (bay) and enjoy the views. Thalassotherapy center La Perla and Miramar Palace are also located here.
The neighborhood has several markets and supermarkets. Mercado de San Martin, with all kind of shops, from the most traditional to the most modern and at the beginning of the Old Town, we find Mercado de la Bretxa, also a mixture of traditional and modern shops and probably the most genuine market in San Sebastián.
A beautiful route is the one that takes us from Paseo de La Concha to the harbor and from there to Paseo Nuevo. There from you can climb Mount Urgull in about 20 minutes, where you will be able to contemplate what is probably the most beautiful view of the city. From here you walk down to Old Town to get back, after walking along Town Hall and Playa de la Concha

From the excellent location of the apartment is not necessary to use public or private transport. You can reach practically any of the major attractions of the city by walking. It is also advisable to rent a bike for city cycling along the extensive network of cycle paths. Thanks to a first class net of public bus transport, it’s easy to communicate with the rest of the neighborhoods.
