I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shahar Palace. Nalini is a lovely lady and accommodating host with a wonderful family. It really is an oasis of calm and tranquility, tucked away in it's own grounds away from the main thoroughfares of the city. A bit of a time capsule that I found genuinely inspiring and comforting. Close to the railway station which is how I arrived and departed. Trains tend to run quite late into the night but generally I slept very well. The rooms are a delight with good beds, clean and more than adequate with hot running water. Cleaning service is available every day. My only light criticism would be with the kitchen which is very basic and alas, not really value for money. That said, it is available and service comes to the room on request. There are some good places to eat close by. If I visit Jaipur again, Shahar Palace would be my first choice.

This was a lovely place to stay and we did enjoy our time however I would suggest to others that this is more of a hostel rather than guest house or hotel. Rooms aren’t cleaned, towels aren’t included, shower is not great bucket washing was better etc and however room service for food was great value and prompt, food was great and the location was great to travel around the city via rickshaw if booked. Not a walkable location in the main road so this is necessary. All the staff were so so kind and lovely, especially Rishabh who would always check in with us each day too great what we’ve been to to. All in all would recommend but be prepared that this is not a hotel.

Lovely quiet heritage haveli with a garden. 10 min walking to Civil Lines metro will take you the heart of the pink city. The coffee is so-so and drinking water is not included. The bathroom was a little worn down, but clean like the rest of the room. Mrs Nanili was very kind and responsive. She and her son were extemely helpful, booking train, rental cars and autos. There are a few good restaurants in the neighbourhood (Spice Court is a good option). Good cafes can be found in the area around central park. I would definitely like to come back to Shahar Palace.

Lovely place, nice vibes. Lush green surroundings. Very fast chai service. I didn’t get a response on Airbnb messages when I asked for WiFi speeds or early check in request but this place is run like a hotel/guest house so that makes sense. Would definitely come back. WiFi speeds are 20-30mbps btw. Serviceable.
