Catherine is the most amazing host - she was helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond while we were staying with her. I greatly appreciated the bread and jam in the kitchen to see us through until the shops reopened as we arrived on a Sunday. she gave us local taxi numbers, advised us on local restaurants, and even came to the cabin to help us when we needed it. The area is lovely and peaceful, a perfect break from the city if you're looking for a more authentic French experience. The cabin itself was cosy and idyllic, though we struggled with a lack of amenities to prepare food so I would not recommend staying here for a long time unless you intend to eat out each night (we would have benefitted from a chopping board to make sandwiches for example). The only downside to this listing that we found was the small gaps at the door and windows, meaning insects could get inside. The cabin was stocked with bug spray to assist with this. Thank you for having us Catherine, you're amazing!

Catherine place was clean and easy to find. But the walk into the cottage caught me by surprise. Other than that, the morning breakfast basket is a nice touch.

Een mooi, fijn huis met de privacy van thuis (Catherine was zelf er niet), maar de plek biedt sowieso veel privacy. T huisje rook niet aangenaam bij binnenkomst. Na openen van deur en ramen was de reuk de 2e dag weg. Dichtbij Parijs, waar je met de RER trein snel bent. Ook hebben we genoten van Senlis en heerlijk gegeten bij Le bistrot de Senlis (=aanrader, reserveren!).

Loved , loved, loved it! The rustic chalet is at the very back of Catherine’s long backyard. It is very private and feels like you are the only ones on the property, but it was nice knowing Catherine was nearby if we did need anything. The bread basket was a big highlight because it felt very romantic and added charm to the experience overall. The bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and well thought out. The only thing I will warn people about is spiders if you have a fear of them. We caught 5 of them on our 2 nights there and let them loose outside. It wasn’t an issue for me because my husband dealt with them and it is to be expected in a log type of cabin. Catherine was also very flexible and understanding in letting us check out late. Must say… we did not want to leave
