We had a lovely stay at Karen’s place. Karen was hugely helpful before arrival, arranging to be there early so we could drop our bags off. She gave us loads of tips about where to go and what to see over the busy Easter weekend. The location is excellent - across the road from the river, a 5 minute walk into town and all the bars and restaurants, 5 minute walk to 2 supermarkets and really close to everything without being right in the centre of all the hustle and bustle. The train station is about a 20 minute walk to get the fast train into Barcelona. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, right down to cling film and shopping bags. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us and it was lovely sitting on the balcony in the sunshine watching the world go by. Also, the WiFi was excellent which was important to the teenagers when we weren’t out and about! Girona itself is beautiful, we’d stay here again.
Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Just needed a week to get some cycling in as weather back home has been poor. Ideal apartment close to all the amenities and with all the facilities as described. Ideal location and considering close to the centre very quiet at night. Had a great time and coming back again at the end of 2024. Thank you.
Really great location & spacious ! Lots of amenities that you don’t usually have in an Airbnb. Deserves a deep clean!
Overall, we had a good stay. Good location and overall nice place, especially for the price. I had no complaints about the stay until we were charged for damages that I didn't think were fair. Notably, two of the bedsheets got ripped just from sleeping on them, and we were charged for damages. Additionally, we were charged for stains on dish rags, which we only used for cleaning up spills. We didn't do anything other than the intended use for either of these items. While I think some of the damages we were charged for were fair enough, I was pretty disappointed to see charges for normal wear and tear on items. On the other hand, Karen was very responsive and helped us with issues that came up, she even brought us a drying rack for clothes as well as spare towels and sheets. Just a bit of a disappointing way to end an otherwise good month-long stay.
