Very nice location in a residential neighborhood. Large house with a nice view. We were 4 and the house felt large and we were comfortable. We were lucky with the weather and so we could enjoy the patio. The kitchen was a little small, but we managed. We are very grateful for the help and advice from Angelika during a medical emergency one of us experienced during our stay. Thank you!

A lovely home at a great location with nice lakeview. Everything was as described and very clean. What stood out for my group was the handcrafted homemade furniture and orher things of wood and steel, by a very skilled craftsman.

Thorsteinn And Angelika's place was absolutely terrific. We toured Iceland with our two boys (8 and 13) and their home was comfortable, incredibly clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the needed items and the ability to wash clothes was a blessing. The home was spacious with three bedrooms, a dining room, and comfortable living space. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood with a wonderful view and easily accessible walking path. The main picture selected to advertise the home on airbnb does not do it justice - we would have selected an image with the view from the living room, or perhaps even a view through the dining room into the living room - the home itself is beautiful and we enjoyed admiring the artwork.

Thorsteinn and Angelika offer a really lovely place in Eastern Iceland. The house is located in a beautiful neighbourhood and there are loads of things to do, especially as a family. The interior is nice and you’ll find everything you need for a short or longer stay. Thanks a lot for your hospitality!

The best feature here is the location; great view and private. The house shows it's age, but the main living area is large with huge windows, comfortable furniture, an appealing open fireplace and a nice dining area. It is well-lived-in by the owner's family and there is personal stuff everywhere. That is fine as far as it goes, but this clutter presents a chaotic mess. The beds, always a primary consideration, are low wooden frames (30-40 cm high) with thin (20 cm) mattresses on plywood; no springs or foundations. They are adequate, but not comfortable. The bathroom had a dim, single-bulb ceiling light and it was so dark I couldn't see to shave. Most disturbing was that the refrigerator has NO FREEZER AT ALL. No way to make ice (or even keep store bought ice frozen!). Under these conditions, we cannot recommend this otherwise-nice place.
