nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison, la vue est imprenable sur le port et le bruit de la mer nous a bercé la nuit. Roger a été un hote parfait, nous sommes arrivés très en retard sur l'horaire prévu (vol annulé) et il nous a attendu, très reactif par message et de bons conseils sur les activité. La maison est très agreeable et donne envie de prolonger son séjour pour en profiter encore d'avantage. merci Roger
Roger a été un hôte vraiment disponible depuis la première prise de contact ;en amont,ses conseils nous ont permis de pouvoir construire notre voyage et par la suite,il a été à chaque fois disponible pour répondre à nos questions durant le séjour. Que dire du logement sauf que ma famille et moi étions tristes de le quitter ce matin; vue magnifique sur Faial et l'océan (dont on ne se lasse pas),impression de liberté pour nos enfants qui ont pu jouer des heures sur cet ancien port, point de départ d'une magnifique randonnée au coeur des vignes...nous avons savouré d'être bercé par le bruits des vagues tout au long du séjour et par la chaleur de cette maison chargée d'histoire et pleine de couleurs! pour des amoureux de la nature,un paradis!
the stay was perfect for the activities we had planned in the surrounding. Roger was quick to answer and help with finding activities and other things to do.
Roger is the perfect host with the perfect accommodation in the perfect location!! Not much more you can ask for. It's located right at the waters edge in a nice private little old fishing port. We loved having his cat come and visit us everyday. The bedroom is very large with tons of room to spread out all your belongings. Roger is willing to help you out with absolutely anything you need on the island and then some. This is the place to stay on Pico!

自我介绍
I was born on Faial Island in 1977, where I grew up with a deep passion for the ocean. I started fishing at a young age, gaining experience in many traditional fishing activities, from small wooden boats to the bigger tuna fishing vessels. Also freediving and sustainable spearfishing became popular activities. twelve years ago I moved From Faial to Pico Island , leaving my desk job at the local goverment, and iniciating my adventure to try to live my dream. I started to work as a skipper for a local whale watching and dolphin swimming organisation and diving school. Here I had the opportunity to participate in the training of “shark diving guide” with Dr. Eric Ritter and a Wild Whale and Dolphin workshop with Dr. Ingrid Visser. At the same time I worked a part-time contract with the fisheries program at the University of the Azores as a sampler at the fish auction, gaining knowledge of all fishing activities conducted around the islands. I completed the course “Maritime Tour Operator” at the University of the Azores, where I obtained Portugal’s highest qualification of “Patrão de Alto Mar” (freely translated as Ocean Skipper) and "Dive Master", which includes subjects as meteorology, oceanography, legislation, safety, basic life support and others. My experiences and passion for the ocean led me to buy my own fishing boat to earn my living. And I decided to initiate a project allowing visitors to the Azores to join in a traditional fishing activity, to have a unique experience learning about the ocean and Azorean traditions. I now also have the opportunity to receive visitors at my “Casa do Cais,Casa do Guardião and Deck”, my ocean house and tourism places, where people have a wonderful base for a fantastic holiday right on the ocean front.
