If travelling solo the airport shuttle bus will drop you to the door for $18 one way. Enjoy a walk into the city and perhaps return via the gorge or visa versa. If you prefer you can jump in a taxi for a short 5 minute ride or catch the bus. Launceston is built in a basin so when walking it helps if you love the hills.
