I and my wife stayed at Frank's place for 2 months (August and Sept '16) during which we explored most of lower and midtown Manhattan and nearby areas of Brooklyn. The building was maintained very well and has a feel of arriving at a decent hotel rather than at an after-thought of a residence. There are no rodents, obvious dust or bugs in sight. At arrival the doorman checked our IDs and promptly handed us our keys. As there are either of the 4 terrific doormen 24/7, checking in and check out was uber flexible. The room is just as seen in the pics, if not better. For Manhattan, it is very spacious and clean. The bathroom is big, clean and not claustrophobic at all. The kitchen is small and functional and the sofa and living space feels clean and extremely comfortable. The air in the apartment is well regulated and it maintains it free of odour very efficiently. The internet was blazing quick and the gym downstairs was mostly empty to use at our leisure. We couldn't have felt more at home. During the stay we hired cleaners from Handy to keep it that way. We only turned on the TV once as all the excitement was outdoors. The Apartment is located near some of the most convenient Metro stops where numerous lines intersected and catching one to explore the city couldn't have been easier. We preferred the breathtaking view of Manhattan from the Riverside of New Jersey and the PATH station from World Trade Centre to Newport was just a block away. The area also felt very safe. The neighbours were mostly quiet and kept to themselves. Other than the occasional barking dog on mission, we hardly heard them. The road on the other hand, can get a bit noisy and I guess this depends on the type of person you are. As we hail from the suburbs of Manchester (UK), we are used to pin drop silence and the constant noise of trucks and cars even at the middle of the night can be a bit of a challenge for people used to outskirts rather than inner city living. There are a lot of low cost options to shop at like Lot-less, C-Town Supermarkets near by. There are a lot of fantastic takeaways and restaurants nearby and Frank leaves a set of instructions for the residents to get started. As with any communication and accommodation, there might have been small lapses, but this was rectified quickly with Frank. He was available via WhatsApp to sort problems out as soon as he became aware of it. Due to word limitation in penning AirBnb reviews, I am running out of space to describe how great this place is. In a nutshell, if you ever want to explore lower Manhattan, without the shadow of the doubt, this is the dream listing. A Gold Standard other AirBnB listing should aspire to. The apartment looked just as it appears in the photos, so there were no surprises. Frank's instructions were very clear, and he included restaurant suggestions also. I had a problem with the AC, but Frank quickly helped to resolve the issue and all was fixed within hours. The location was perfect, as it is close to so many subway lines and ferries. I really enjoyed the variety of food within steps of the apartment. The neighborhood felt safe at all times. My stay was three months long, and this was the perfect place to stay to explore the city.

Frank was very helpful - left me directions to everything and was very responsive if I had questions. The pics looks just like the place - no surprises. The area is so convenient - steps away from most subway stops downtown.
