Davids place is for people who like peace and quiet close to Oslo. David has fantastic energy and is very easy going and friendly.We cooked dinner together and had a nice evening!

The house is in a location deep into the forest. If you are a person who likes to experience living in the woods with fresh air and amazing naturalistic views, this is the place for you! The last stretch of the road to the house is a bit rocky - fair warning - but David is great at guiding through it as he leads the way in his car! It can get cold up there even in summer nights so don't forget to bring your socks and a sweater. The breakfast spread was filled with variety and David's design and building skills around the house are a treat to discuss. I highly recommend this place!

An amazing place to stay for so many reasons. David, the host and builder of this brilliant property, is not only extremely attentive to his guests, but offers an insight to life in the beautiful surrounding countryside. His cabin in the woods boasts stunning views of the scenery of this secluded, yet connected area. Just north east of Oslo it is only a short drive from the capital for those keen on experiencing the city. Our only negative comment would be that we didn't stay for long enough, as, sadly, we were only passing through the Oslo area for a day. Highly recommended for those with a love for the outdoors (and also interested in sustainable living).

David was a fantastic host, and the posting was everything it described, and more! He was so generous to my husband and me. We cooked dinner together, picked blueberries, went on hikes around the area, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The room is perfect and the house is lovely. If you are looking for a getaway a short distance from Oslo- this is your place! We highly recommend it.
