自我介绍

While my wife and I have spent the last 25+ years raising a family amidst stressful management careers in Texas, we've enjoyed the majority of our holidays and vacations spanning FIVE generations here in the Allegheny National Forest, Tidioute, PA. Although most of our parents and grandparents have gone on to eternity, after all these years we are still captivated by the richness of life we experience in this place year after year. The things we love to enjoy are each other, the beauty of creation and it's Creator, wine, cooking (especially grilling a fat ribeye or smoking ribs all day), and any opportunity we can find to share it with friends, family, and relatives. My wife always says that making a memory with those you love is more valuable and memorable than "the stuff" money can buy. I agree, and this is still our favorite place in the world to do it. It’s not only a place to get away, but a place to gather that allows us to reorient our perspectives to the things that matter. We’ve also found there’s just something in the atmosphere when you encounter this little slice of paradise. The peace and quiet, the breeze and smell of fresh air surrounding the forest, the sights and sounds of wildlife, the great bald eagles, blue heron, American & Canadian ducks and geese, hummingbirds and pileated woodpeckers, the fish and otters as they splash in the water and float downstream, the sound of the feeder creek rippling over the rocks outside your window, journeys along the canopied river trail or up the stream into the mountain, resting under a million stars at night in the stillness on the deck, or in front of the crackle of an open fire pit. It’s a special experience and one that’s meant to be shared. So as we open our hearts and our home, we hope you and your loved ones will find it’s touch, and the beginning of many special memories of your own.
