Awesome place, location, space, and overall ambiance. Really enjoyed our stay here. Internet worked great too - was able to wfh on great Wi-Fi. Also, we really just overall loved the neighborhood and how much there was to do over here. Definitely recommend.

My 13yo daughter and I stayed for a month and it was perfect. It's a classic old building with modern improvements that has everything we needed. The apartment was perfect for us and the location is great. It was easy to cook-in every day, and the washer/dryer was a big help. Parking is available. The hosts are very responsive by text and will help if anything is needed. No worries about bringing the family here, other than city precautions. We saw plenty of other kids around. It's a great improvement from when I last saw this part of town around 1980! It's becoming a trendy neighborhood with galleries and restaurants nearby. There's a lovely small park a block away, and we made friends there. Starbucks is across the street and it's a pleasant walk to pharmacies, groceries, State St shopping, Michigan Avenue or the Art Institute. The L is across the street for getting around the Loop, or going north, south, or west out to O'Hare. The 66 bus stops right in front, and it's a very easy on-off for the expressways going north, west, and south. We met up with friends while we were there who had taken the train in from out of town and didn't bother with a car - you could fly or train in for sure if you don't need to go out to the suburbs!. The only caveat - there are two flights of stairs to get in and out, so everyone in your party needs to be ok with stairs. We hated to leave!

Dean and Suzi are wonderful hosts! My husband and I sold our place in River North and this was a great spot to stay at right in the neighborhood while we were in between homes. Comfy and cozy with lots of stops within walking distance. We recommend!

Dean's place was exactly as advertised. Large, clean, perfect location to strike the heart of downtown Chicago or hop on the L to go north or south. Cool new restaurant downstairs with clean hipster feel. Overall, location, condition, cleanliness, and experience was perfect. Would stay there again and Dean's a pro. 5 stars.

Dynamite location. Was wanting to surprise my wife with a long weekend in the city. Because I was willing to spend a little more, my expectations were pretty high. We were definitely not disappointed. Extremely comfortable, great energy, super clean, and so homey. The place itself is super cool - Absolutely loved the high ceiling and sky lights. In truth, everything was perfect. Dean is an incredibly thoughtful host. You see it instantly in the small touches. As well, communication was spot on. Lastly, the location was absolutely perfect. Close to everything. Pizza, shopping, river walk, sites, etc. All was within walking distance. Parked the car and enjoyed the city on foot. As well, we felt super safe at all hours. Would absolutely recommend Dean’s place, and would definitely stay again. In so many ways, this far exceeds the experience we would have had at a hotel. Wishing you well, Schad and Gretchen
