Belinda met us at reception and took us to the units which was nice. Unfortunately they had made up the spa unit as the master instead of the suite, why would you make up the unit that rents out for less as the master? The unit is clean and nice and in a great spot overlooking the pool. The furnishings are all a bit dated especially the outdoor furniture. The kitchen is set up very inefficiently. There was no wifi and we were asked to have one of us wait in the unit from 8-12 for the Telstra guy to come, we ended up declining to do this. Router, has a note saying that it is only to be used for emails and business, no movie streaming, what’s the point? One of the main pools, right next to us was having construction work done, so it was out of action (we weren’t informed when we booked) and then the power tools started up at 7:30am! Hard to enjoy breakfast on the balcony when there are angle grinders being used. We paid over $2500/week so quite disappointed overall.

Location of the apartment within the Beach Club complex was perfect. Excellent view of the pool, short walk to lobby, main street and private car park. Alison was great to deal with when arranging our booking and Belinda was welcoming and helpful upon checking, catering to our needs. The option for cot hire was great and having kid friendly extra was a extra plus. E.g. a highchair, plastic bowls, pool toys. The internet connect, even without wifi was not great in the room. The Beach Club hotel is situated in a perfect spot on Palm Cover esplanade, we didn’t use the car the entire time we were there (except the 3km drive to coles). Bike hire is a must do activity! The pool was an absolute hit with our young one. The sand and toys kept them amused for hours. I was slightly disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the apartment.

Pros : large apartment with pool view . Belinda (filling in for Alison) was a responsive and helpful host. Beautiful sandy lagoon pool Cons : kitchen is outdated and very small. Rangehood and some utensils not clean , kitchen cupboards full of clutter . Dryer broken (although quickly fixed after contacting Belinda but should have been checked prior to us arriving), not enough supplies for 5 night stay - 1 spare bin liner and a few sachets of dishwashing liquid / washing powder. Louvres near the spa bath are old and broken , unable to close and therefore no privacy . Unable to connect to the internet . The biggest con for us was we were not informed of the construction works going on at the property . The walkways our building would have used for pool and street access were barricaded and the detour was long and the construction was very noisy . Had we of known about this we would have stayed elsewhere . Not the experience we were expecting for the second part of our honeymoon .

Great place in a great resort! Had everything we needed for a week with family. Apartment is huge, and pool perfect esp for small kids as shallow and warm!
