We arrived late at the property in the dark which - thanks to some very detailed instructions, hand drawn map and photos - was easy to find. It was very hot for much of our stay, but it was easy to remain comfortable either by the nice pool, beneath trees in the garden or at night in the large, cool bedrooms. The kitchen was perfect for simple meals. There is not much to do in the small village - a couple of local bars and the church whose bells meant there was no need for a clock. We enjoyed walking in the evening behind the property up the hill to the edge of some wild, dramatic scenery. Sao Bras is a pleasant, unassuming town with some small, good value, friendly independent restaurants. We had days out in araound Loule (market, churches), Tavira (churches, beach), Faro (old town anb beach) and Albufeira (boat ride west to see caves but not dolphins). Whole experience was very restful. Would happily stay again here.

Emplacement idéal si vous recherchez du calme. Alportel est vraiment bien placé d'après moi, en campagne et a 30 min de la côte et son agitation. Sao Bras a 5 min ou l'on trouve tout ce dont on a besoin (supermarché, resto, marché etc...) La maison est vraiment très agréable et chaque chambre est indépendante ce qui permet une certaine intimité, vraiment un havre de paix. Merci a kate pour son book très détaillé et toujours très réactive via la messagerie avant l'arrivée.
