Our stay at this peaceful place was our 4th end-of-August visit in row! We had quiet & boisterous days with visiting grandkids and plenty of sunshine. Just one day of rain in a week! The kids learned to kayak with the boats on-hand and had a ball in the water. The fishing was good again with bass and plenty of sun fish and even a couple of early morning trout on a fly rod! And we has 2 visits from ‘Harry the Herron’ who stood on the end of the dock peering down at the water for a fishy meal. All in all - a great time!! We hope to be back at Big Alum and this wonderful cottage next year - for year 5 !!!

We had a great time staying at sue’s cabin. The lake was clear and beautiful and it was amazing to be able to walk out the back door and go for a swim multiple times a day. Appreciated finding a spot that was pet friendly for our little dog. Thanks Sue! We hope to be back again next year.

my husband and I and our 2 old pups had a blast at the cabin. The water was beautiful and peaceful. Perfect place to relax and close to town. Can not wait to rent it again next year. Absolutely loved how simple and well stocked the cabin was. Had planned day trips but barely left the cabin!

If you like old school, rustic cottages this is the place for you! Sue's place was very clean and comfortable and has all the basics you need. The lake was just lovely! We saw Osprey, Herons, and Bald Eagles. Our fishing wasn't too successful though...that's how it goes sometime. Kayaks were great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the highway sound in the distance. Sue was incredibly responsive and helpful. We loved the place and would definitely return to the old world charm of this cottage and the beauty of the lake.
