A group of us needed a place to stay while working at a weekend workshop nearby. Ingrid's place was so beautiful and peaceful, that as much as we love workshop, some of us didn't want to leave every day. Her place is huge, welcoming, homey, and I wish we could live there.

Ingrid’s farmhouse was such a find! We had a lot of family coming out to a wedding at the Greenwood Music Camp which was just 15 min away by car, and with 9 adults and 1 toddler, all the extra bedrooms and bathrooms felt like luxury. Staying in a historic home felt like an authentic Western Mass experience. And the view was spectacular—I caught a beautiful sunrise my first morning (thanks, jet lag!). My 2yo was in heaven with all the toys! The vintage toy tractors were a huge hit. Also: our GPS had no problem finding the address. We got a fairly wet and muggy weekend (lots of rain and high temps) so I was definitely feeling the lack of AC! But I would love to come back later in the fall and really enjoy the crisp weather and wooden fireplace. I found the history of the house to be a huge part of the charm, but if you are sensitive to smells, I’d maybe recommend bringing your own pillow just since it is a bit musty, but not enough to keep us away. This was an opportunity for my mother, who had recently moved from this area after living there for twenty years, to visit family and friends and return to the place she loves. The property and surrounding were wonderful. The house had the perfect homey charm that made her feel welcome and comfortable. The large yard was well cared for and views from the windows and porch were beautiful. This was simply the best solution we have found in our many visits to the hill-towns over the years.
